+1. If the worst ever happens I hope that it is burned out or never recovered after having some bag-head rag the living daylights out of it.

Any update Gavster?

IMO Trackers appear more of an insurance policy for the insurance Company so they payout less. Yet the motorist has to pay for the tracker installation and any subscription? How does that work?

Fully Comprehensive, GAP, Tracker...what next *** ?

How many times can the motorist be shafted?

Proper punishment, and propper deterents are the answer.
Shaft the theiving vermin scum instead.

Amen

Anymore tricks of the trade please pay via paypal accordingly:yum:

Hope all works out with Insurance and that really do.

I sometimes wonder why Manchester is still big breeding grounds for American Pitt Bulls and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

You have to remember these are just little problems in our lives , yes its a pain a real pain but always remember its just a piece of metal and can and will be replaced.I would be devastated don.t get me wrong.

Chin up 3 of my mates just been sent to Afganistan :puke2:Helman Province:undwech:

if they come in and get a few things fine s--t happens, but if they come upstairs while my 7 year daughter staying with me, it will be last burglary they will do on this planet :whistle2:

The trouble with that is that you would see even less of your 7 year old daughter because you would probably being spending 20 or so years in prison.

It would be exactly what i would do without hesitation ,, not any other thought would enter my head:noway:

Depending on how you responded you would get Manslaughter for unconditonal love 7-10 years and do around 5-6years good behaviour.. Small Price to pay in my eyes ... Totally understand having 3 Kids ..

Look at it how you wish everyone entitled to there own opinion and feelings on this matter...

Its funny you say this , me and my missus was only talking the other night about it, i said if the worst thing happened and i got sent down for some years would you come see and wait for me?

She replied 100% Dave to the Hilt .. Guess what i Believe her:blownose:

Family and Kids is forbidden in my eyes and i would not like to say what i would do Jackel and Hyde comes to mind:gun2:

It would be exactly what i would do without hesitation ,, not any other thought would enter my head:noway:

And if the intruder was carrying a gun or a knife your chidren might never see you again.at least not alive!!!!

Better to talk to the intruder and give them what there are looking for and hopefully no one would get hurt. Not worth risking a life over a set of keys if that's all they want.

Hi guys, thanks for all your comments..... i know there is nothing you or I can do, but its nice to have these comments....

When they catch these people the police should be allowed to put them in a room with like minded people such as us!

Phone call from the cops this afternoon, no more sighting of the car since the intial ANPR photo.... I know he's only guessing but he thinks its on a container ship by now...

Investigation into home alarms is underway.... and I have secured the use of a nice car for my holiday on saturday.

Anyone have one of those Yale Wire Free alarms? The cops gave a voucher for 20% off....

Hopefully everything will work out OK. At least the car is covered by the insurance and I assume it covers replacement if the car is less than 12 months old.

Personally I'm not too sure about house alarms. One or two houses in my Close have them and they go off accidental quite often. So much so that nobody really takes any notice of them and the police will only respond to silent alarms that go through a central control unit. Also if your own alarm goes off at night, do you go downstairs and confront the intruder, who may have a knife at the very least. If they attack you you may well get injured. If you attack them you will be the one who gets into trouble with the police. The CPS (Criminal Protection Service) will probably let off the intruder and take you to court for daring to attempt to protect your property. That's they way it seems to work at the moment.

Will you be ordering the same S3 again?

I dont think burglar alarms do much to deter theives these days. I was burgled a couple of years ago, during the day when I was at work. The house was alarmed, and it triggered when they broke in, but they still did it, and took about 11k's worth of stuff.

Even though the car wasnt there, they took the spare car keys, so we had to leave the car round at a friends house for a few days until we could get all the locks changed and the alarm recoded.

Like your style mate lol. My keys are always on me and if im going sleep there in my bedroom. I got a bat in the kitchen and my bedroom i have a steel pole and a 21' telescopic chrome baton, and that means business!
Live with my mum and younger sister so i'm the man of the house and i will protect them both by any means necessary. Also i hope you have a tennis ball or some sort of small ball. As if the police pull you over and find it they will arrest you. I keep a bat in my car either by the drivers side door or in the boot with my tennis ball.
As the dogs do like chasing the ball ;)
I only started doing that a year ago, after i had CS Gas sprayed in my face in my old car and my front and two side windows put through by a gang of men with weapons.

As for trackers, once its been stolen from me, I dont want it back.
I would also be concerned about the repercussions of an organised gang having the car retrieved from them and it sitting back on my drive the next day.

Very good point, this one.
Never thought about it like that.

Guess same could apply even if the police recover it directly from them without use of trackers.

Lose lose situation :(

T*ssers!!

Sorry to hear about your car mate. Like others have said hopefully you will have no problems with the insurance and you will get a quick pay out. Worth checking if you have new for old on your insurance as this is usually standard in the first year of a cars life. Not sure what i would do in a situation when I knew someone was downstairs. With 4 kids in the house and the youngest being 2 1/2 I may just think feck it, take what you want. BUT I do know that if they came upstairs and threatened anyone I would do whatever it took to stop them. Although it would **** me off, possessions can be replaced with exactly the same item ....you can't replace your family! This country needs to adopt US policy's and if anyone comes onto your property you should have the right to defend it with what ever means you deem fitting. Just a thought, but what would happen if you had a couple of Dobermans who mauled a thief? I guess the thief would be putting in a compensation claim against you.

Gutted and sickened for you mate.
……..

Hard to say how id react to find someone in my house, best outcome is none of your family hurt
Keys up stairs sounds good cos the law (what law there is ) ls more on your side when they set foot on your stairs.
like said keep a ball near your bat and if you club someone to death.. drag them onto your stairs :whistle2:

Guys, lets not let this stray too far off topic, we are all gutted for him, and would all react differently if it were us, but we would rather not see threatening behavior and violence on the forum

What i am saying is, sypathise with the poor guy that had his car stolen, fine. I do not need to, or want to know what you would do if you caught someone in your house. The post isnt about anyone except the OP and he has had a tough enough time to come to terms with the fact someone entered his house and stole his keys etc.

As i said, we would all react differently if it happened to us. The point is, he didnt have to make a choice on what to do about it as he was asleep upstairs. Surely the fact all that happened was his car got stolen, and his family is all well and safe is a good thing. I do not want to see any more posts saying what you would do if they were caught in your bathroom/landing etc. Thats not the point of this thread. Any more mentions of violence etc and i will close it, and the only person that will suffer is the OP as his thread to vent has been closed because it went of on a tangent.

scum subhuman scum , ive changed my original post because it was pointless ....... soz fokes im gona refrain in future what i really think ...lets just continue to be robbed by these peices of s**t and have a toast to it, brandy anyone, cheese and crackers ... after all the insurance will pay out and will get that high for us inner city areas , that i can no longer afford to own my car ...

exactly what's happening to me now ,just been raised to 324 a month a fecking joke , so i can look forward to selling my car cos of s**t like this , i hope they burn from the inside out ,eyeballs first ....

you may say oh lets keep it at bay the personal remarks and be thanking each other , cos you live out in the sticks and dosent really affect you unless these scum visit you.....these f***s are affecting my life personally and have infact ended me owning an audi so before you thank each other realise other peoples circumstances that are not so fortunate and have to pay the price ............

sorry for the rant but ive had bad news its not that we cant afford the car and feul and what not but its the insurance thats now ended me owning a nice car that ive worked on for a year and its these s***s that are causing it ....goodnight all

Gentlemen

I think this thread has now gone far enough on what we think about and what we would like to do to the members of society who break into our houses to steal our car keys and what we would like to do to them.

The levels of violence suggested by some members has no place on Audi-Sport.net

I suggest that, unless anyone has anything constructive to say about the original posting, then we all leave it at that.

If not, the thread WILL be closed.

I used to do this until it occurred to my that I value my life more than my car...If the thieves want your car they will do all they can to take it...

So if they break in your house, make sure the keys can be found easily enough without being stupid. A car can be replaced easy with Insurance and GAP these days.

I know what you mean but why make it easy for them? If everyone kept their keys hidden, thieves would think twice before doing this. I'd also say there's a chance that they wouldn't even bother coming upstairs if they can't find the keys downstairs. Plus I feel more relaxed that we've got a dog who'll bark at any noise, especially at the stones on our driveway, despite her being a little yappy terrier. Finally I'm 100% confident that there's no "easy way" into the house, believe me I've thought it through long & hard.

Still no news, so I think we can safely assume she's gone! Sob Sob etc etc

On a different note, does anyone know the number for Audi Gap Insurance.... they obviosuly dont want me to contact them, i cant find a number anywhere!

Do the Police have any theories on where these high value cars go?

I cant imagine there being a huge market for the parts unless you are fixing up a crash damaged car, and even then they must be some risk in pedalling on parts for this type of car.

Do they all go abroad?
Are they cloned?

If so then they must be stolen to order.
I mean, what does a dirty smack rat do with a 30K car he has stolen opportunistically because he stumbled across the keys?

And if you are stealing to order for export then surely you will be targetting real high end stuff like Porkers ets upwards of 100K?
Its the same crime but with MUCH higher return.

cheers
Paul

^ Audi finance: 0870 010 2022, they should be able to point you in the right direction seeing as though you have Audi GAP insurance.

:icon_thumright:

I was on a plane yesterday morning coming into land at Stansted and in the middle of nowhere there was a small field, surrounded by bushes filled with cars. I thought it was a bit weird and wondered if it was a holding ground!

Maybe I would think different if I was a victim under similar circumstances, but fortunately, its been a lot of years since I had a car stolen and it is indeed sickening.

cheers

My TTS has a tracker from new (ex demo) the price to change the registration details and for a years cover was around £250!! they pestered me for weeks to take it out, I contacted my insurance company asking for a discount for the tracker and they said they only offer discounts for high value cars! (this is ex demo loaded and list was £39k)
I have gap insurance so I left the tracker, why would I want a thrashed abused car back anyway? it's not as if the tracker will save me any money

I can vouch for Yale wireless alarms, As i have experience in security. I fitted one last week. Im more in to locksmithing to be honest but i installed the alarm as a favour. Better than the wired one i installed last month which had some serious problems :ermm:.

If your looking at Wireless Alarms, take a look at the Visonic Powermax. Very highly rated and operates on the 868Mhz frequency which means no false alarms!

Fitted one to my house last year, excellent product.

Just to say I'm really really sorry for you mate. The thought of someone touching your stuff, the inconvenience, the cost and the paranoia is awful.

Really hope that you get sorted one way or another - good luck.

Rob

i had a cutout fitted to the feul pump on the car 60 quid all you do is flik a swich thats hidden of coarse , cars dead, best 60 quid ive spent if they get the keys that car does ditto ......as for trackers theres a blocker you can get for 30 quid that plugs into the ciggerette lighter i think proper car theifs will be onto this also our friends from china make it makes your tracker useless .....

Did anyone see car-crime uk last week ? mk5 golf gti and A3-S3 1st and 2nd most pinchable motors in britain at the minute which isnt a nice thing

yeah i watched it , when they chased that blue golf and all the airbags deactivated and parts stripped from the car , o and they made the police looked like proper tools ....

yeah a golf , s3 and mini the top three

I was on a plane yesterday morning coming into land at Stansted and in the middle of nowhere there was a small field, surrounded by bushes filled with cars. I thought it was a bit weird and wondered if it was a holding ground!

More likely an enterprising farmer cashing in on Stansteds stupid parking charges.

Most of these cars a broken and are worth far more as parts than as hot cars. Just look at that guy in Lithuania selling RNS units on e-bay !! where do you suppose he gets a dozen second hand units a week from ?

yeah paddy thats what i was saying on previous threads , hes got satnavs all used from all vehicles and the funny thing is we all go about not funding crime an all that and alot of peeps on here have bought from that guy , makes me laugh....double standards there's no way on earth id buy from him he's scum and you only have to look at what he's selling to know that there stolen , alot of stolen cars end up in russia and middle east in fact probably most of them ....

Yeah, seen it, but both featured Golfs were TDi`s anyway, and they werent clear if the A3s were in fact S3s?
Makes good TV though, but I would like to see the`real` stats.
cant believe SUBARUS and the like arent up there.

Italian Job!!!

Seriously though, if you've ever driven a cooper S round town, you would understand! I think they are great for hooning about the streets in. I can see why they would be used as getaway cars in city centers thats for sure. I'd still have a Lupo GTI though ;)

Sorry to hear about this....scum bags.

Sadly people with nice cars get spotted and followed home so they know the address. Few days later there's a car key burglary and the cars gone.

I would imagine its parked up somewhere. The scum do this as if its fitted with a tracker it will be found and recovered. Park it up for a week, maybe with cloned plates and if its still there in a week then go on a crime spree in it.

Sadly a lots of performance cars are stolen to do a few 'jobs' in or cloned and sold onto other countries or unsuspecting people in the UK (ringed).

It'll pop up sooner or later, sadly though if its being used in crime then it'll be found burnt out.

Lets hope someone gets behind it and gets it stopped. I have to say though, I dont think I'd want my car back after it had been ragged about by robbing gits for a few weeks.

The people who do car key breaks arent your average drug addict burglar though. They're not interested in small stuff they can sell on quickly, they want the car for a purpose and mean business.

I've heard of people having shotguns waved in their faces as they're in bed, front doors being cut open with chainsaws etc. Sadly pretty severe violence is offered to get the keys. Dont be a hero and give them the keys would be my advice, its just a car (in know, but it is) and its not worth getting a hiding over.

Hope it all gets sorted.

Tom

^^^ It's OK saying just give them the keys, but if everyone took that attitude then they'd be even more tw@ts breaking into houses for peoples pride and joy because they'd know they can get away with it.

Thieves would know they couldn't lose if everyone gave them their keys.. The saying 'taking candy from a baby' springs to mind.

They want there fecking arms and legs chopping off, saying that though.. They'd end up getting a compensation claim in and the innocent one protecting his property would end up getting sent down and being shafted over by Raymond the b@stard in HM's finest.

We'll have to disagree on that one then. But I certainly wont risk someone doing me some serious harm for a car. Yes its my pride and but its only a car. I'd hand the keys over rather than end up getting into a brawl in my house with someone who's a bit more desperate than me with nothing to lose.

I deal with victims of this sort of thing and its pretty horrific what some people are prepared to do to get the keys.

The market changes to suit, there is lots of impreza etc parts available everywhere now days but if people want a decent spec S3 interior-body parts-engine etc etc there isnt that many on e-bay yet plus when they are prices are big,so easier to just hire out your local crack whore or smack rat to rob the whole lot, plus not many impreza's are hard to spot they would have to free wheel half a mile or so before they start it what with the noise they all make

yeah you just gotta be more prepared i guess, id rather go inside... and do em serious harm sorry but if the law wont do its job then i will do it for them the law is a joke thats why these shits are getting away with it....its the scum that decides the law that live on these nice little garded full of flowers estates that are the real scum...

i cant wait till some people get the bottle and go get em watch the law change quick i hope they get there justice get tied up get guns to there heads be terrorized with in an inch of there life see how it feels, there just as bad as the scum robbing us , and the poor police are in the middle with a mountain of paper work and these criminals laughing in your face with there crys of human rights....

i couldnt be a copper id do some harm id be like maniac cop people that act like animals would be treated like animals gassed beaten up spit on kicked out on the street at bail time id treat em like animals....
