Thinking about upgrading the brakes, and have a question.

Will the S3 brakes fit into 17" allloys?

Will VAGCOM be required to bleed the brakes?

Also will it need anything else doing, e.g., spacers etc etc.

I think the S3 brake rotors are 17" so they wouldn't normally fit in 17" wheels

That would make them 431.8mm lol.

I think they're 345mm rotors, not sure on the fitment with regards 17" rims though.

Hi

I'm sure you will need 18" or above due to the size of the S3 brakes. Thought you need 19" or above due to the clearance. And no you wont need spacers mate.

I've just done a bit of research and they should fit.

According to a golf website, they fit under the gti 17" wheels and a guy said he ha audi 17" rims and they fitted under that.

His offset was 54.

As per PM, more than welcome to pop round and as my brakes are off my motor and we can see if they fit in one of your wheels!

You're completely right :keule:

It's not my fault though :whistle2: I remember seeing it in the S3 brochure, and I was right. "Destination in sight. Slow down. Brake pedal pressed (is there another way????). 17-inch brakes get to work". But maybe they meant something else. :)
