I would like to replace my Symphony unit with a RNS-E unit in my 04 A3
Prices on e-bay vary hugely from £400 to £800+

What should i reasonably expect to pay ? any recommendations where to buy....anyone selling one at a good price ?

I got mine from ebay, I can't quite remember the guys name... something like Jogorn.. I paid £600 for a 2008 with chrome buttons and 'backup' maps.

That was about 6 months ago now so i'd imagine that they'd be a little cheaper. It came from abroad somewhere but the delivery was pretty quick and it was well packaged and scratch free.
 
Hi mate,

I also got mine from ebay from that same seller, I'd recommend him as he did have a quick delivery time and a quality sat nav.

I paid £550 (inc delivery) 2 months ago with the chrome buttons and the backup DVD and also the quad connections and keys.
 
I posted one on the Ebay section last week that went for around £420 + PP. It was a chrome one with 2009 Disc, so looks like the prices may be dropping. Bear in mind that the new system will be hitting the streets soon, so the prices may drop further in the next short while.

Paid £450 for a mint 2008 unit from a fellow forum member, Wizbit.
I reckon thats the right money.
 
It looks like most of the RNS units on e-bay come from Lithuania from the same bloke with lots of user names.....And he doesn't offer any money back or exchange as far as i can make out...
Would be nice to know if any one has brought from Lithuania ( where ever that is ?? ) :wacko:
 
Further to my post above...
Looking through the feed back of these people/sellers ( i am sure they are all the same seller) Even RNS units brought from people in the UK turn up arriving from Lithuania it seems !!
So the search continues but i am not sure that 95% of the ones on e-bay are the bargains they would at first seem ;-)
 
Think i paid £550 for mine 2 years ago, ebay said it was coming from surrey, ended up coming from Lithuania, think it was from a guy called car navi parts
