Bhangra

I love a track on my Cafe del mar CD called - "Mundian To Bach Ke" by Punjabi MC

I got it way back in 98 and still blair it out now and again. Right summer tune :)
 
Mundian to Bach Ke is a pure classic, its one of the main tracks that put Bhangra music into the mainstream.
 
The bangra track that seems to be doing it for me for the past few months has got to be Rishi Rich ft H Dhami - Sadke Java :p

Punjabi MC - old Skool track but even when comes on in the clubs, everyone goes madd ! Jay-Z did a good remix with it!
 
Hmmm, H Dhami is pretty good, but still prefer his Dads tunes :)

Seen him like 3 times live now at the same place...

He's pretty decent.

But going through my music list today and the old skool mets n trics is on my everyday list now :p Them guys were onto something good and just completly ruined themselves with their new music - seen them live too and they were acting like right twazzoks lol
 
not a big fan of h dhami, he doesnt have much talent in my opinion, one dhami that does though is jaz dhami! anybody catch him on britasia live sessions? that guy is flippin talented!

oh n does anybody have shinda shonki n miss pooja - ludhiane colloge? i cnnot find that song anywhere, desperately want it!!! if u have it, send it my way pls :D
 
Jheeta, I did actually see Jaz Dhami on that live session and I have to say i was very impressed!!!

I might have that track lying about somewhere, if i find it i will send it your way ok mate.

Kaz, Mars and Twix???? LOL...they are no more, they made one half decent track and that was that.

Wizbit, i really rate PHS, they are pretty good and have a wide selection of tunes that they mix up and they do it really well too.

cheers nilz, i actually found it n d/l it! its on repeat now i forgot how much i missed it!!! top song, oh n hell yeah, malkit singh, what a gangster! i remember seeing him at king of kings in leicester a couple of years back, still smashed it AND in a nightclub!!!

Malkit Singh is brilliant!!! 1 track that i love of his from him and Bally Sagoo is Raggamuffin Mix 1991, I still have that track in my car today!!! The track is nearly 20 years old and it still sounds as fresh as it did back then :)
 
another legend! bally sagoo, his early stuff was just amazing, from his bollywood remixes (not a big fan of hindi music) to his bhangra tapes! class mate, they dont make bhangra like they used to...
 
Yea defo not like it used to be!!

I remember seeing Bally Sagoo as a kid going in and out of OSA in Brum, even got to see the legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in there as well.

Apna Sangeet are having a reunion gig in Brum on the 23rd of May which should be really good too, used to love them when I was little, my Dad used to work with their keyboard players, so we used to get all their tapes before release and tickets to see them live, which was amazing!!!

the tune i got on repeat is ludhiane collage :-D hahaha but apart from that, im loving harjit harman's new album (well two songs, gall dil di (not a fast one though) and banda), nachne da mazza by bakshi billa (top song) and vang teri - tej-e (not the best song, cud d with less hip hop beats, but good lyrics)... what songs do u like kaz? i cud prob name a few similar...
 
Vang teri is a good tune, im liking that alot, also liking a dnb mix of Desi Jatt, collabarations 2, really liking ghum shum, thats a tune!!


Gerra De De, by DJ Dips is a heavy track and also the Moneyspinner album (Poetry) is top of my playlist as well!!!

And finally PBN, dancefloor and Ashiq.
 
i love desh panjab di! that song is too good! nirmal sidhu is a bad man singer!!! im more into the freshy stuff if i be honest with u, i listen to it all, some of the stuff out of england is really good, but then agen some of the remixes are just plain baqwaas! gotta love the freshy duets lol
 
The freshy duets are wicked...I have been into them for years from the old Mohd Siddiq and Rakjit Kaur days, upto the present day.

Not bad for a Gujji hey ;)

Growing up in Brum and mingling with alot of the Bhangra industry got me into it BIGTIME and ive been hooked since!!!

Its all i listen to nowadays, although I have had to revert to alot of the old skool again as the recent wave of Bhangra aint really been that good!!

80s and 90s all the way - PUMP UP THE BHANGRA!!! :)

i know this is not bhangra or panjabi now, but jay seans new track called down is very good!

some of u may know already but here goes, kaka bhaniawala's album is now out... getting it now, but havent listened to any of the tracks yet.. ill let u know if it's worth it (im sure it will be..)

another album u have to check out is the pal d album (diamond in the rough). some top songs on there, its been ages since he came out with anything, but bad tunes on there!!!

got jaz dhamis album the other day, was quite disappointed... out of 12 songs, only around 5 r worth listening to! the two he's released, theke wali and roj milliye, and pyaar if you like slower songs, and the one thats probably my favourite, is lengha.

on another note, Rana Sahota - Khadke Glassy is a top song! worth getting if you havent got it already!

Yea I have to agree, I was so waiting for JDs album, and it is quite a letdown, the only real decent tracks are the ones that have already been heard.

Also Silinders got a new album out too and thats pretty decent, he is an excellent perfomer and has defo stood the test of time with his music.

An album that I am waiting for and looking forward to is 1st flight by Des-C.

Rana Sahota I have and am quite impressed with it as well.

Sad news, another loss in the Bhangra Industry :(

Mani from Sangra Vibes, aged only 21 from Leicester passed away over the weekend.
 
kiddah nilz, yeah i heard about mani, bad news again, so young...

on a positive note, imran khans album is quite decent... worth a listen anyway (even with the cheesy lyrics about amplifiers and subwoofers?). silinder pardesis album was ok, not a big fan of him. i have a preview of des-c's album, its got quite a few songs on it, but not the full album, its quite decent, but the guys voice irritates me at times (when he screams instead of singing!), but he's a talented guy and am defaintely looking forward to him album!

n yeah, that video, got some top tunes n sick moves!!!
 
Yea such a young age to go!! Apparently he was ill in hospital for a few weeks tho.

I did see Imrans album, but didnt think it would be all that, but will get that tonite when I am back home.

I have to agree about the screaming, what is with that!!! I think his best track to date has to be Majajane (Sanu das ja, sanu das ja, sanu das ja...haaawwwaaaawwwaaaw) LOL

What tracks have you got of his, I have got a few as well, just want to see if you got any I havent, so that you can send them to me ;)

Whereabouts are you from paaj and are you going to Audis in the park???
