Exhaust manifold bolts coming loose on 2001 S3

Hi all

i a newbie S3 owner

had the car about 1 month and loving it!

one thing i want to ask is

the exhaust manifold bolts come loose

every now and then

just wanted to know if there is a fix and if this is a common S3 problem

I had the same problem but with the Turbo to the manifold and it ended up been the dog bone bush had gone thus making the engine move more putting stress on the manifold

Have a look at the mount, it could be that?
 
Does it cause blowing? or are you just wrenching periodicaly to check them

I was also wondering about this!

My manifold is loose and makes a rather embarrassing blowing noise. When I went to inspect it I found one of the bolts to be missing so I bought a new one (£6.80 from Audi

) thinking it would sort out the problem.

It didn't.

The bolts just seem to work there way loose

then i need to take of the charge pipe and access the bolts
and re-tighten.

the dog bone bush is it visable from the top side of the engine?
