Incorrect Speedo Reading

Hi guys,

My speedo seems to read about 15% low for some strange reason. I noticed this before any modifications were made, and I'm only just getting round to finally working out what the problem may be.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or does anyone know what the problem may be?

Any ideas would be appreciated

Have you tried robbing the speed sensor from Rich's car to try on yours?

wheels ??? with the 17`s on my spedo read 80 when it was doing 73 now it reads 80 at 80 with the 19`s on.

Yeah, I would just 'borrow' parts from his car one by one, I'm sure he won't mind haha.

Mine is the other way. . . .reads 85, actually doing 100!

True! He has borrowed my parts to resolve his problems. A good benefit of having the same car, fault finding is easy! Usually!

He is running 17" TT Comp, they have the right tyres on, I'm pretty sure of it.

Spot on Jo! 225/45/17

The problem was there when it was completely standard, including the OEM 16" wheels.
