Led Headlights on pre facelift?

i really want these but definately in black.Plus i want to upgrade to xenons. Would i need any extras to adapt them to my car (xenons i mean)?

Hmmm, in that above ebay link the seller says 'not suitable for vehicles with standard Xenon headlamps'
 
If they only come in chrome, you can paint them black yourself, i did it myself on my corsa and i also did it on my hyundai coupe, its not hard at all
 
Still they don't ship to Romania, what a shame :(. Did anyone buy this head lights from that seller, and if so how are they. I'm refering only to the build quality of the product.

I want a set :) 100% the black ones! Cant wait till there RHD probably be a few months down the line.
We could get a list together of who would interested and some one could get in touch will the seller see if he or she can give us any idea of when they will be RHD as we have this many people interested? Just a thought mind.

Mate if you want them that bad. You could have them shipped to my address and i can have them shipped them to Romania? If that help you out at all. Have you asked the seller if you pay little extra will he be willing just this one off to post them to you?

mmm, they dont look too bad on. So you buy the bare headlight & add your own HID or halogen? I wonder if its an aftermarket HID kit or if only the Audi one fits.

Hello guys, i have some news that i would like to share them with you. I've conatcted the dectane importer for Romania and i've placed an order of one pair of these led headlights, the price was 260euros including shipping and vat. I will recieve the lamps next friday and i will keep you posted with some pics on how do they look on my car.
Keep your fingers crossed because i hope that they will fit just fine :D

Thanks for doing that Leon. Not too sure about the last reply they sent your partner lol. Looks like it gonna be a long wait. I'm not too sure on them...They look good when the ligths on but not too sure when there off. I'd still pay a pair to see what they look like for myself on the car.
And decide then.

They look ok in the pics but the LED's are a bit chav blue on the last one. I think when you actually look at one of these units in the flesh you will be disappointed, they will look like any other cheap aftermarket headlight, e.g. like the cheap angel eyes that are all over ebay.

To convert to RHD all you would need to do is flip the cutoff shield inside the projector unit from this:

I'd imagine you have to do that for both headlights?
 
Okay people im bumping this thread a little for some answers after reading through it ...

The link for the black lights off ebay (german) If I ordered those would they not fit a 8P Audi A3? im confused as to what (RHD) means??? Would they not fit in place of the exsisting light or is it electrical??

Some answers would be great. As im aiming to get an A3 TDi S-line very soon and really love DRL's and want them! :D :D

Yes they will be plug and play on all A3's without Xenons.

RHD means Right Hand Drive. These units from germany are for LHD so if you use them in the UK the beam will shine into the other lane and blind other road users

Really appreciate the explanation :) Im sure that it would be easy for someone to modify the lights and rectify this issue? They look so nice!

No-one could ever call them chavvy or anything of that nature (as I would if someone had them on a Ford Focus lol) but on an actual new Audi! Yes please

Probably is possible but I would just wait a few months, they will out in RHD soon I bet.
 
These new LED Lights that everybody wants including me ....has got me thinking. I don't think these are as good as everybody is making them out to be. First of all these lights are no where near as bright as the OEM one's from audi. But I have found somebody that has done one which looks like :drool: Please check out the night time video and daytime...and tell me what you think. I'm going to have to see if I can get this done my self ...because the one's that everybody going on about on this form is now not the one!!!

Then all i can think is you have to get some good quality LED...Not sure where your gonna get them from:think: Maybe some one else on here can recommend some thing else.

I'm going to see if this guy would make a A3 Stripe LED ...As he is already selling the Audi a4 one's on that form.

you can get the latest and brightest LEDs here: http://www.dealextreme.com/products.dx/category.917~page.1

If what you mean is to replace the actual LEDs in the headlight for brighter ones...

If you're talking about those strips of LEDs that you can glue onto your headlights, you can find tons of those on eBay
