GTI Inernational 09

I ran my golf at inters a few years ago when it was at bentwaters in Suffolk, best i could manage was a 15.100 wheres at the pod a few weeks earlier i couldn't get under 16.200, I found inters timing gear to be a bit suspect, how could it be that far out?!

Anyway whoever is arranging this then I'll hang fire for a bit and see what happens.

are you gonna turn up this time? seemed a bit lonely doing most of the 1/4 mile on my own last time

How many runs did you have last year? Don't really trust my transmission to be honest, which is why I only did one run last year lol, don't mind losing neither, it's all about taking part......... ya ba5tard! :)

Joe,the reason you only did one run was that your car was bogging down.

What about my transmission? its done about 20 runs and one trackday and driven badly daily and also the original clutch 80k!!!

we can make it even by me leaving the ESP on if you want ;)

You haven't had the misfortune of your gearbox letting go @50mph on the M42 when it was slightly damp in medium traffic lol. My gearbox isn't the original one, and the bogging down was probably due to the clutch being new'ish, think it had done 500 odd motorway miles only prior to my run, so I was hitting the limiter in 1st gear with the car hardly moving lol, I could smell the damn thing after my run. It's all bedded in now though. :)

I hear ya. Prob just book it when you ready online and choose ASN from the drop down list, that way they have numbers from the start.

As i said before, keep off the pies JO!! ;)

Ok guys, i am not meaning to tread on any ones toes, but i sent a cursory email to Autometrix to check we were going to be added to the drop down list. Sally has confirmed it will be done later today.

Hope that helps

Mark, you run with it if you are happy to do so.
I was hoping Rich would have spotted this and posted updates...but in his absense, I suggest that if you are happy to do so, you go ahead and make any plans you see fit. :beerchug:

Glen, i have PM'd Rich.
I was thinking of giving him a few weeks to respond, and then if nothing jump in and sort it etc.

The main thing is we are now on the list so it means we can start pre ordering etc.

I have given my contact details to Autometrix as a standby in case Rich doesnt return the form etc etc That way we can crack on.

So....

Who's up for it?

I'm already booked up hotel wise...
David R and I will be there, along with 5 others from the Aberdeen area (although I think they'll be on with the Club GTI lads).

Good luck organising this Mark, im sure you will do a splendid job :)

Only wish I could be there!!!

I thought i should make an appearance!

Sorry for missing this and not posting, but i've already sent all the applications off to Autometrix.

I unfortunately do not actually have the banner - I think DickyS3 has it, so i will PM him and see if i can get hold of it.

Rich

OK guys, i've posted a new thread purely for club display talk, and have made it sticky (no comments! lol)

I am looking at going guys, with the mrs and we havn't booked /paid it yet so havn't emailed off yet as there is no point.

I wont chatter too much in case it accidently gets closed again.:tapedshut:
Suffice to say another B5 should be there as well as an 8L

Does anyone know if Custom Code will be doing 'on site' remaps on the day. Will be my first time at the show and I was wondering if they'll be giving any discounts? Thanks

Guys i've only had an email from 1 member! Sign up if you want a place on the stand!

I'm having a bit of a staff crisis at work in June time, so I can't confirm my attendance which is a shame, will let you know nearer the time, when is the latest Rich?

Its real bad weather here! :(....And i spent 4 hours washing her yesterday! :(

Damn this weather, it's p!ss!ng it down as I type, so guess I'm going to be sporting the 'used' look for Inters... nothing new there then. :)

I live near and it's warm, fairly cloudy but bright so all in all not too bad.

The forecast said that the east midlands should expect the best of the weather this weekend which is promising.

raining here and I'm a stones throw from M69/M6

its absolutely throwing it down...carrier bags needed for the weekend

The weather in Brum has been horrible today!!!

Hopefully it will get better for you guys tomorrow...

And Jo, all you think about is food isnt it ;)

Make sure you guys get plenty of pics of the Dubs and off the stand lineup as well

Cheers
