been thinking about putting my a3 on coilovers, but worried ill loose the comfort of the car, had a very hard ride with my previous car being lowered to stupid levels, if i put it on coilovers..can i still sit it as close to standard height as possible? only really want them on for shows and maybe the odd track day.

thanks :blackrs4:

if you get a decent set then you can set them to what height you want and stiffness is yours a qauttro

on awsome GTI website there is a drop down list of which is my car, to buy the coilovers...which one is it lol

I would advise you on Bilstein B16/PSS10. They can be set to the standard height and, in comparison to other dampening adjusting coilovers, the dampening adjustment is not continuous but in 10 precise stages.
Even more, I managed to raise my car even higher than standard last winter by about 1cm.

@N8KOW: I have some previous experience with Weitec having worked in a tuning shop and it was not good at all. I would say 3 out of 5 customers experienced problems either with fixed or adjustable Weitec suspensions.

Well Mike's had them on his car and he's not had a problem, I know plenty of people that have had Bilsteins and they have rusted.

KW ALL THE WAY :rockwoot:

I would put KW in if you are wanting as close to comfort as standard with the lowered look

I have FK in my car and its on the tyres but still relatively comfortable but noticeabley harder - I like it though!

I'm running V-Maxx on mine, and the ride is great, not as harsh as you'd expect for a 65mm drop on coilovers.
