BOSE 6-CD Changer

Does anyone know of a cd changer that plays copied and mp3 cd's i can replace the standard BOSE cd changer for?

The standard changer will play copied audio CD's but doesn't support mp3. For mp3 support you need a Sony package, which comes with the adapter so it's plug & play. The HU doesn't care, it's just audio by the time it gets it but you will be restricted to 99 tracks per CD in mp3 format. addachanger used to do a Sony mp3 package for Audi for around £170 but they don't seem to do it now. You may have to buy the Sony changer and add the interface separately.

Rite ok. I think i will just get one of those xcarlink things to connect up my ipod then. Cheaper then buying a new cd changer!!

Yonner - Are you referring to your Bose playing copied disks or MP3's?

As said no standard Audi cd changer in an 8L plays mp3's. The mp3 format hadn't even been invented when Matsushita designed the changer back in mid 90's.
Bose is irrelevant as the changer is the same regardless.

does this plug into where the cd changer goes at the back (of the stereo)? have you got a link for this xcarlink mate? -as i'm in need of a change/upgrade myself!
