Bit of a refresh!

Decided to give the car a bit of a new look for the new season.

I'm sure there will be mixed reviews but I love it.......I think it has TOTALLY changed the look. What ya all think?

That looks sweet mate! love the grille, mirrors and roof! and wheels actually! Not seen rs6's in anthracite before. look good! Have you had any problems with the law with that number plate? I'm considering going euro.

Thanks dude.....only finished the refresh friday, took it to DC09 today on those plates with legal ones in the window!

The wheels have been powder coated and the roof has had a vinyl wrap!

TBH i won't run the black plates on the road.....that would be asking for trouble!

Your car looks great buddy. Mirrors and roof suit the car really well. Am not quite so sure about the grill. Personally feel it would look better with the Rs4 grill. Wheels also suit the car well.

Funnily enough, i did have an RS4 grill on it.

TBH, i was/am unsure about the grill too.

Might stick the RS4 grill back on but gloss black the mesh insert.

Still not sure about the black rings either...lol

The joys of modifications eh!

In all I like it but you forgot to do the gutter strips on the roof (I made that mistake) cant say I love the grill either but I like the concept of the car reminds me of something just cant put my finger on what.

Saw this at DC09 yesterday, and it looks really nice in the flesh. Got to admit though, wasn't feeling the black rings. Everything else was spot on though!

i like it mate! i've got the same grill/badge/plate look on my yellow 1.8ts, but ive got an RS4 grill with black rings at the mo! also got black rings on the boot. i was going to take mine to DC09 yesterday but other commitments took priority! wish i'd gone now!

LOL....it wasn't a mistake on my part dude, the factory "Black Edition" cars don't have them channels painted so i stuck with that idea.

Yeah was good to chat dude.....funny enough, just checked a Black Edition car in the showroom and they leave the rings chrome!.....like i say, i was/am unsure about the grill....lol......No doubt you got back to your car to find it covered in Audis in the Park flyers...lol

The only think i'd have done differently is used the same color for the wheels and the bodywork, either gloss black the rims, or probably more likely use the anthracite shade the wheels are in on the roof/grille/etc

I painted the grill and rings on our car anthracite to match the wheels, but paint from cans is *****, and the grille is covered in stonechips now

Again, this is the best thing about modifying cars....its all personal.

Personally i hate Black wheels, :Flush:hence why i went for magnesium.

Funny really cos its the grill (that i am STILL unsure of) that has caused the most controversy...lol:busted_cop:

Ye i think i agree with you on the wheels, the magnesium looks better than gloss black would.

I just followed that color scheme on to the lights, grill and badge.

Its just a pity the paint i used is crap! Looks a bit of a mess now

Think i would have silver audi rings on grill though.
