VAG-CON QUESTION

ok my audi is not kicking over (they think its the fuel pump)
i just got my cable off ebay today.
i hooked it up and then to my laptop but it just kept saying to go to options..and when i did it has all the com ports then usb..but when i push the usb option a box appears saying error or something.
i have a 2002 tdi a4, is it possible i have downloaded the wrong interface??

Assuming your talking about the ROSS-TECH VCDS (VAG-COM) software, the latest version will only work with a genuine cable.

Third party eBay cables MAY work with the older software versions with limited functionality, i.e. Version 4.09. Even then the communication between car and laptop can be very unreliable.
