Does anyone know if its possible retrofitting the facelift S3 Diffuser on a S3 2008 pre-facelift??

Could you get me the part number for the facelift S3 diffuser ?

Thanks!

part number wont help to advise if it fits & there will be only one for the S3 09 version, so all you need to ask for is the lower valance for the S3 09 cars, I'll check etka in a bit to make sure but I'm 99.999% sure I'm correct, I would just get a reg of a car thats got one & hand it to parts & say I want that valance from that car, thats what I do, they put in the chassis number & bingo

well it unclips anyway from the top half so yes as the shape looks the same & I actually put an 05 facelift sline valance on my 04 bumper, I had to mod it slightly internally to get a proper curve but it looks completely oem, yours I would say would be a straight swap, bumper of I'm afraid then take lower of & new one on, should be alot easier than mine.

Oh also if you do end up doing let me know as might be interested in the old valance, thanks.

Why dont you buy the S3SB rear??

don't think it would fit on the 2005 model ... if it did then i'd consider it.

Revival!!!

Sorry just for those who know, which of the above 2 diffusers fit the S line bumper?

They both fit the 06 onwards S line bumper no problem (the smooth one) as its the same part number as the S3!

If thats your car in your avatar (pre 06) then it wont fit sorry!

True, but I believe Nigel (NHN) got it to fit ok with little modifications.

Ahh ****** mines 55 reg. So the only way to have it fit is to get the bumper aswell as the diffuser?

UH no sorry Lee's wrong, I fitted an sline valance to my sport upper, with some minor modding with a stanley & cable ties it fits like a glove/oem & you wouldnt know the difference, so I believe you could fit the S3 valance.

Sounds good then, you got a pic? However It is not a direct fit so i'm sort of right! :)

Ok I'll let you have that, its not 100% plugnplay as sline/s3 upper would be but it fits, image will post up when painted as its still in poxy primed state.

Valance is about £60 so guessing £150 or so in total.

I paid £220 for the 09 facelift version (bumper & diffuser)

I was just wondering as with the S3 front end without the bump strips, the back doesnt match - dont get me started on the skirts either LOL

Hmmmm, might try a scrappie near me.

It does fit with very slight mod. The old diffuser was a single part while the new consists of 2 parts. In addition there are 2 black plastic parts that need to be replaced with a single one that goes inside the bumper on which the 2 lower screws go. The only mod needed is cutting a very small part of the cloth covering the rear wheel arches.
You can see the last photo of my mod here:

You ****, lol, did you copy my aux port mod under the handbrake, hey good place to fit huh mate, descreet & easy to access aswell, I'm glad someone else thinks out side of the box, lol.

Nice car for sure especially the stitched oem armrests, they're very expensive from audi thats the issue, might get my needle & cotton out later.

Sorry mate:)
I was trying to find a place to relocate the aux. Thought of moving it under the roll cover where the cup holders are but if something went wrong I would need a new console so the part under the handbrake was the logical place.
You are right those leather parts are really expensive.

diffuser part 8P3807521T gray
inside bumper plastic part 8P3807329A
Sorry, I cannot find the number for the 3rd part.

lol, hey I dont hold the patent so do what you want mate, but as you say its the most logical location & I was also considering under roller but I know occassionally I use it for a drink holder underneath armrest so chances are some liquid would get into the port & cause some damage so thought best not to, but its a handy & tidy place to fit, looks very oem if you ask me

Sorry, I cannot find the number for the 3rd part.

Inside bumper plastic part - Is this the part which is circled in the above two pictures?

So whats the third part?

Thanks

No, 3rd part is the red painted part in the 2nd photo. The inner part 8P3807329A is not visible in the pics. It is a plastic part that goes inside the bumper and is around 8 euro.

How do you unclip the diffuser from the Bumper? I would love to do this to warp my diffuser.

Pls help :)

Just got a price for the rear diffusers
Old one £81
New one £162
Big difference there. Which one would you all go for?

8P3807434G1RR is £85... just been to audi and asked for a quote (includes VAT)

That's the extension bumper, and yes, it's ~£85. But you need the diffuser also, and it's ~£160

I would also like to know if i can fit an s-line/s3 diffusor to my bumper without removing the whole thing!

Is this possible?

The guy at audi parts said that 8P3807434G1RR should be the extension and difuser... im going in on friday to speak to him again so ill double check... and if so ill get the part number for the difuser also!
