grills question

Im not sure who's gona know the answer to this.... But is the grill off a 06 audi a3 sport the same size as an 06 audi a3 sline grill
Because i want to get and fit a oettinger grill but on there website it says part not suitible for slines but if the grill is the same size as the sport surely it will be fine i dont understand why it isnt suitable ???? can anyone shed any light .....

Alright Blazin

An audi A3 Sport Grill will fit your S-line. There the same size's so you have nothing to worry about. Probably saying not suitable due to the S-line already having a nice looking grill. And the Sport just plain and boring, so there product probably aimed at people who want there A3 to look a bit more sporter who dont have an S-line.
But i think all the A3 grill fit other A3 so for an exampe Some one who has a Sport can but an S-line grill on. But if i'm wrong i'm sure some one will correct me soon.

I was debating getting the oetty grill myself blazin.... what kind of money were you quoted for one? Definitely the best mesh grill (bar the RS6 grill that probably doesn't fit!)

Are you going for the silver or matt black surround?

BTW Ashley is 100% correct the sport grill fits the S-line bumper just fine... I had my old grill in for a couple days after I fitted the S-line bumper so I am sure.

What pics ??? If you mean old pics i deleted them of photobucket by accident...drat
...And i want the one on the silver a3 black surround , i meshed my fogs so the grill will look nice with em but there about 300 quid arnt they..

How much was you quoted, i could by the optics grill but there to common id rather pay the little extra and get the oettinger one i havent seen anyone with it, on uk roads anyhow ...

Yes the old pics mate... I should have not been cheap when I made my mesh grill and gone with the oetty first time... what is it that N8KOW likes to say... BUY ONCE!!! that's it

I haven't seen anyone with an oetty grill over here yet... People really like my grill, even though the finish leaves a lil to be desired, so I am thinking with the oetty grill it would be curtains... If I decided to keep the car for a bit this will be on the shopping list for sure. Have a few other bits (remap, lower, wheels) to do first and mine looks alright for now so maybe sort one mid summer.

I was told (or seen on a few sites) that they go for circa £400. Maybe we should try a group buy... Buying requirement: can't live within 100 miles of each other!

osir grill is ok to carbon with carbon logo base support

or oettinger grill with the osir tt carbon base and audi rings would look really nice

Sorry i maybe wasnt clear iff you look at the audi rings..... Underneith is the carbon base support you can buy them off osir on there own..
The audi rings fit in the middle it maybe better on the oettinger than just the rings although im not sure ...LOL I WOULDNT TRY MAKE THE SUPPORT MYSELF IT WOULD PROBABLY LOOK LIKE BOGROLL
