Hi,
I was looking into getting my A6 2.7TDI remapped and noted you guys had done some group buys recently for the ST3 system from ChippedUK. Was wondering if there were any more group buys in the offing and who i should talk to? Also any opinions on the ST3 remaps / ChippedUK welcome. I'm new to the world of remaps!

cheers all.

Hi UncleBobUk
I've also just missed out on the ST3 deal. So if another deal does get organised it looks like there are 2x waiting punters.
A4 3.0 TDI Quattro Auto (205 bhp)

I do remaps myself. Altough i do not run big company but work is being done on highest quality level (diagnostics->mod->diagnostics). About dyno, i have G-Tech which is good tester of modded cars on road so in their natural work environment. Test before and after will show you the difference. I do not chase single BHP's as some tuners! I do reliable mods for everyday use and of course if someone wants some hardcore mod this can be done as well. Subject to owners preferences...

Hi UncleBobUk

I've just bought an AlienTech from AutoGym in Chester for £295. It’s the same as the ST3 but not rebadged, and the guy has been affiliated with ChippedUk in the past.

I've got to say I'm very impressed.
I paid for the unit at 2pm and it had arrived the next morning by 9am, then he emailed my Road map within 2 hours of me reading my original.

Here's the really impressive bit.
The AlienTech struggled to write to my car (Most tuners quote more for my model - 2005 A4 3.0 TDI Quattro Auto 205). So I just read a log file from the device and emailed it to AutoGym. Within 2 hours 2 guys at AlienTech had been involved and a new firmware file was sent to me. Simple update at it worked a treat.

The maps are custom writen to your requirements. With my Road map being setup for economy and to remove the turbo lag. I got an extra 3 mpg on today’s commute (according to the DIS) and instant throttle from standstill.
The other map will be full power - but he's given me the opportunity of requesting changes based on using the first.

Like I say the really impressive bit was how quickly and professionally the problem was solved, as an industrial software engineer I appreciate the difficulties in connecting to different equipment, and just wish I had this sort of service from all my suppliers.

By all means contact Ged at AutoGym and ask him.
I'd be surprised if he'd drop it by much and you've all that messing about relying on other people to get organised.
I won't be contacting him for you - to organise a discount for someone else ha!
I thought for the price and next day service, why the hell not.
Saved sitting around for a few months waiting for the next ST3 deal to come along.
By the way my daily commute has gone from 36mpg driving like a nun to 42mpg and keeping up with traffic. It’s a 3.0ltr Quattro returning more mpg that my bike, ok its diesel and the bike is good for 170, but journey for journey its cheaper by car.

Have contacted Ged. Apparently the MED17 ecu (facelift models) compatible version of the AlienTech box is due in June so I will have to wait until then!!

cheers for all the info...the unit looks the same as the ST3 so i'd be happy to proceed with these guys... just a case as to whether they do a group buy... but even if not its still quite some margin cheaper than the ST3... i'm due other expenses this month now anyways so i can't do mine till the end of may now.. guess we'll see how interest develops :)

thanks for all the feedback Quattro :)

Autro do you have any pics of the unit itself?

theres a group buy running on the mkivs site at the moment, need about 3 more for the st3 box for £299 all in
