Howdy All!

So what mod yous think I should/could go for now? I need something to aim for :search:

I don’t think I want to go down the BT road though.

Any suggestions?

Cheers Cheers

Get it RR'd and see what your stage 2 is putting out?

Should have gone with the FMIC before the stage 2 map though really.

Other than that... K04 Hybrid if you dont wanna go BT :)

Cheers Guys!

Ok, so short shift is on the cards for a start then. I will go for side to side and up and down.

See the FMIC, can I still keep my fognights? I see pics on here with FMIC but the pipes showing and I dont really want that. Looks mean and everything but I would rather keep it std looking, to a certain extent (says me with it lowered and BBS'ed up :jester:). I am not going to put on S3 bumpers or spoiler etc.

Last of all, if I did go for a K04 Hybrid, whats the rough costage? And I take it I need to re-remap it.

I will look for a rolling road out here in Czech, could even drive in to Germany or Austria and see what it is putting out. I have always wanted to know :superman:

Cheers

Yea a short shift wouldnt be a bad idea.
I think the Forge FMIC you can put behind the bumper without having to remove the fog lights...
How about a Downpipe/Decat? Would make a noticable differance on a stage 2 ;)

Found a RR up in Prague, about an hour and a half drive for me.

All in Czech language tho. I will give them a bell see if they speak ze English.
Does that RR look ok? Normally they have two rollers right? And the wheels sit in between them?

Garage I got most of my work done said I could not get a down pipe so I will ask about on this also.

Will also mail Forge about the FMIC too.... see if I need to get shot of the foggies.

Anti Roll bar
Upgraded clutch/flywheel
TT shortshift (only ~£20 and 5 mins job)

try this for the K04...

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=216627

Essentially a K04 hybrid with K03 fitment so will straight onto your existing manifold, the stuff listed as extra is Leon Cupra R as thats what Bill deals in but its the same as Audi stuff anyway so essentially S3 injectors, S3 MAF and TIP, S3 airbox or induction kit and maybe an S3 fuel pump.

Prolly get most if not all from a breakers and the turbo is £505 + vat

I am looking to get the S3 version of this K04 hybrid for my S3... should be good for 280bhp at least...

<tuffty/>

Cheers for all these ideas guys! I needed them.

Here is what is going on for a start then...
Shortshift
ARB's
Clutch/flywheel
FMIC

Then maybe after that, a new turbo.

I am now off to do my searching on the clutch/flywheel and email Forge on the FMIC.

Cheers Cheers :respekt:

Where can you find this short shift for ~£20? all the ones i have seen are £100+

I bought a diesel geek short shift, it was about £160 ish, one of the best things I've bought for my car!

spence_star - "Got any pics of your car with the current mods?"

Gonna get in on a Dyno within the next two weeks me thinks. Gonna order some Forge hoses and possibly short shifter. Bit dubious about getting any work done out here in Czech land though. Might save it all up and get the ARB's, Shifter, FMIC done all at the same time back in the UK.

I have a relative coming out in June so they can carry the hoses, I reckon I am up for that task.... maybe :sadlike:

actually the TT geartshift :p I wrote shortshift instead.

Anyway, it still gives about 20-30% less throw and they are ~£20 from any dealer

Powerflex dogbone mount, makes a big difference for such a cheap mod. Well worth it IMO.

That outrageous spoiler could also be used as a shelf in your living room.

I need to buy a shortshift and better dogbone mount but it just goes on a long list of things that i want with no funding! lol

Don't suppose you have a part number for it?

Was there much vibration through the steering after this was fitted? Or is it not as bad as some claim?

Not much at all imo, not even worth mentioning. The improvement after fitting one is instantly noticeable. Im sure those who have it fitted would agree its a must have.

Cheers Maz, where would you say is the best place to buy from? DPM?

You can pick them up pretty much anywhere and they cost roughly £20-£25. Someone also posted a useful fitting guide on the forum not so long ago if you want to DIY.
