Is that the one at the front where the tweeter is (interior)?
if so, disconnect the battery (airbags there).
Pull the rubber off that goes round the door frame.
and pull from the top of the pillar downwords - theres around 4 clips.

Undoing the battery is not going to stop the airbag going off, they should have a power storage so they still deploy in an accident when the battery has cut out. The only way of stopping the air bag is to be very carefull. Try to stay 50cm away from every air bag.
Hi, I've wondered about this myself as I suspect my left side tweeter is toast (but only some days...?).
From what I can figure out from Elsawin, you (might) need a special tool (removal lever -80-200- ) to help you not damage the first top clip, then when thats done, the next 2 ones should be just a breeze.
I had a look, but as soon as I saw that white cloth inside (airbag) backed off - I think I will leave it to the Audi workshop to help me out with this.

Im not so sure - someone posted a link with a car with a heavy (and i mean haevy) front end smash and the airbags didint deploy. The guys on here said that the car must have been parked and off so the airbags didnt come out...
Not strictly true! They do however use capacitors which will hold a useable charge for about 30mins. You can safely work after disconnecting the battery for about this length of time.

Having removed 10's of airbags using this method I have yet to have one go off in my face.

So they do hold charge but only for half hour. It's just with fire service we get trained that even if the battery is d/c still stay away from them as they can still go off. But like you say they only hold charge for 30mins, but people didn't even know that they hold charge
Hmm! A fellow firebobby eh? Having read a few manufacturers recommendations, it seems that 1-2 mins is adequate, so 30 mins in a non emergency situation would be ok.

Haha thats really funny of course I meant the interior on the a-pillar I just burnt it whit a ciggaret that I was throwing out but dident hit the open window but instead the a-pillar. Made a big black mark on the light interior and it annoys me every time I drive my car, just have to buy a new a-pillar interior.
