Possibly THE nicest A3 ever??

I saw that last night when I was having a browse trying to work out what mines worth. it is nice but if it was mine I'd be changing the back lights to standard facelift ones.

Nice car though, love the colour.

Man thats well chavy! an not to mention the guy cant spell. whats "gray"?

list of chavyness.

Rear LED Light Clusters
Fully De-Badged, including new front grill
Bonnet Bra

it also has had a full re-spray so if you need a rust warranty claim then youve had it.

looks ok if i was 20 and wanted to impress the car sluts but it aint for me.

What makes the above "Chav"

I can understand the Rear lights but everything else? :ermm:

Im 20 but im no Chav, Personally id change the rear lights thats about it. Can't see how having Smooth bumpers and debadged grills make a car "chav"

Its Euro'd Not "Chav". Maybe its just me... Just seems to me alot on here dont take kindly to modifying A3/S3's.

Wasnt this Mag Featured in Golf+?

The problem is Jason is that people dont understand the euro look at all and bump them in with the Max Power crew. There are always going to be 'purists' who dont like cars being modded (I should know, I was in the aircooled VW scene for a long time) but I think if someone owns the car they can do what they want to it.

Imagine how dull it would be if we went to shows and looked at line after line of identical cars....yawn. Whilst I might not have the same tastes as some owners with regards to work they have put into their car I can appreciate the time, effort and money they put into them.

I like seeing well modded cars because they're full of little 'extras'. The whole package might not float your boat but there's maybe going to be a little finishing touch to it that you think "wow!!" and make you want to do it to your own car.

Different folks, different strokes and all that :)

how much!!!???? for an R reg!!! i dont care whats been done to it, its never gonna be worth that

Oh, I challenge te thread title because THE nicest A3 ever is mine! (in my mind anyway!). ;)

I just have to say. I totally Agree with a few things! 1 i have to be a S3 owner soon! 2, Diferent folks diferent strokes and i quite like a few things about this motor but i would never pay that sort of money for a phase 1. In all honesty (sorry for any phase 1 owners) I would never own a phase 1. There are some really nice bits to the car and i quite like the euro look but folks on here dont seem to agree. I perrsonally have debadged mine as ive gone all black i.e blacked windows (not lights) wheels etc etc and looks awesome some might say a drug dealers car ;) lol. Point is No-1 Should pay that money for a phase 1 a3 even if he has spent stupid amount of money on it i wouldnt say wasted money as it is a thing of love changing your car!

And no mines the nicest A3 ever lol ;) apart from a blown engine ofcourse

The LED Cluster lights are crap. The words Halfords Springs to mind.
Bonnet Bra? never seen a car on the road with one of them on.
and debadge grills remind me of crappy corsa and saxos that chavs do to there cars.
thats all i ment. As for the modding. Yeah i agree, we would live in a dull world if we all had the same car but i personaly think a Concours car would be far more desirable than that A3. its soooo not the best looking A3 out there as the title suggests.

Fair comment the lights are gash. Other than that i think its lovely. Few more pics..

For instance as soon as ome-one goes too low, or starts a bit of smoothing then its frowned upon.

Personally it looked better when Markb had it, apart from the interior the new chap has done a great job on that.

Still stand by what i said, its FAR nicer than any A3 on here with-out a doubt... (Thats without those gash rear lights of course)

Gotta say J, whilst it's a nice car, there's not really THAT much special stuff to make it worth the asking price.

mechanically, it's essentially a standard turbo with an exhaust and a remap, it's still on the standard crappy ko3, and all the ******** that goes with it, so it's not that quick.

it's had some smoothing done, and a respray that obviously didn't go back to bare metal as it said, because the engine bay is still yellow!

The ad says it's got a full S3 interior, which it hasn't they're just retrimmed facelift A3 sport seats (very nice seats, I have them in mine, but NOT S3)

I personally don't think it's chavvy at all, the retrim inside is gorgeous, and the smoothing makes it look very sleek. I would run a front plate though, and the rear lights need burning.

Still, it's only worth £3k.

Me being in the dub sence loves smooth cars and it isnt in anyway "chavy". Love the look minus the bonnet bra and rear lights, And like someones already pointed out its still got a yellow engine bay?
Looks very good but id rather buy a cheap S3 with high mileage then an R reg A3.....

id say it was worth closer to £2k.... if it was a standard R plate with no mods you'd be closer to a grand

I think it looks real nice... love the smoothed look and that interior is great too.... but that yellow engine bay just lets down the whole package

why are thre so many people on here that think any kind of modification other then putting something oem or brembo on there car chavy its not chavy at all, im far far from being a chav but i have just gone totaly euro with my s3 and i have a forge splitR valve i just like the style.
can we include s3's in this debate about the best car on here as looks wise i think i might win,

im dieing to upload pics now but was going to wait untill the weekend to clean it first

I love the Euro look. I think that someone who is in the scene, that doesn't want to spend the time and money doing this to their car, which would cost more than the asking price of this car, would buy it for that much.

Including the price of the Genuine CHs, the reupholstering and bodywork alone which would have costed 3-4k+. Although it would take the pleasure out of seeing the car evolve as its being modded and having yourself make the decisions of what gets done. The only thing I'd change is the grill and the rear lights and of course the engine bay, that's shocking.

Kev, get some pics up, your car's sweet.

its kinda different now though lol

ok here we go little sneak preview ill upload better pics in my own thread nearer the weekend

Awesome wheel choice there, spot on and a break from the norm, like it.....lots!.

Reminds me of my old Ronal Turbo's I had on my Polo back in the day....ahhhh memories!! :yum:

did you not fancy a set of Ronal Teddies? ;)

T

Some people think they're cool to be honest, like I said different folks, different strokes. Lots of eurolookers run them.... on polo's but airbrushed etc over in Germany

They change hands for a fair few quid too, they were an option on a Polo a fairly long time ago.

The "Gray" A3 is let down. This paint job and wheel are much nicer.

Some people on this forum are so damn negative I dont know how you walk out the house without having a heart attack.. you really need to chill out reptor before you hurt yourself.

You can appriciate the time and effort gone into the creation of the car. Jase it comes down to personal preference.. I personally think its a nice clean example. The diamond stitching on the interior looks alright, and i like the piano black engine cover. I do like the smooth A3, I would have done some things different but i can appriciate the time that has gone into it.

Im a fan of the euro look and you dont see that many A3's/S3s that have had the work done.

Why is it that as soon as someone sticks there head out and does something different, there are so many people that focus on the negative things rather than the positive efforts.

Everyone has an opinion thats just mine.

Rant over.

Kev what other plans you got for the S3 cosmetics wise.. i like the wheels.. something Ive never seen on an A3/S3 before.

Thats the only bonnet bra I like, those black leather or whatever they are on front of the car are just pants, stone chip or not, never in million years on a car I'll have
