hi guys drove pass a shell tonight and unleaded is 99.9p.I guess it wouldnt be long before it hits the 1.00p mark. This fecking country.

Is that standard unleaded? 99.9p is dear that's for sure, diesel is only just over that around here.

100.9 at Shirley Triangle for V Power!!!

Oil has snuck up to $58 without anyone noticing. As oil is traded in barrels, the £/$ exchange rate is hurting us too. WTI was $58.11 yesterday; Brent was $56.99. £ was $1.519.

If you look at the oil companies profits for Q1 2009 you'll see that refining margins are up - the refiners are selling wholesale petrol for more money. Quite a few refinieries worldwide have been shut in for long maintenance or with issues. Less capacity in the world market, so prices are up a bit.

the best thing to do is we all start stealing it that will sort it out.....

Once it creeps over psychological £1 barrier think rate of increase will get worse, that's what happened last time around :(

ok Double checked again and its unleaded 99.9p and diesel 103.9p.sh!t

Filled up at the services on the way home couple of days ago, the BP/Shell at Newport Pagnell I think, £1.08p a litre....

94.9p/l for U/L at the Shell Layby on the A34 just south of M40.

Now 96.9p at Tescos Bicester 2 miles away!!

Cheers,

god damn them oil companies!

Yep. Oil companies barely own any of the petrol stations. Most are franchise. But you know that they own all the ones at motorway services where they charge you an extra 5 - 10p a litre. I used to work for Esso, and tried to avoid using them all the time. Did I get an empolyee discount? Did I f**k.
