A3 wheels and springs

Ive just bought myself an A3 1.8T and looking to put 18's on with approx 35mm drop - will this be fine and not catch?? ive got plans for my motor but not sure on this as its standard at the minute but not for long!

It'll be fine, I'm running 18's on my A3 1.8T Sport with a 40mm drop and there are no problems at all.

Just go for an ET35 offset on your new wheels.

Its alright, I just take em slow (which I did before the lowering anyway).

The rides fine, its firmer that stock but its not bad at all. It doesnt crash about all over the place etc. On concrete motorways the noise is higher but thats down to the lower profile tyres I'd expect.

Its spot on though, cant rate the Wietec kit high enough, very happy

Got to say, I'd personally go for a 40mm drop. Something like the Weitec's are very good and popular with forum members.

Indeed, mines the Ultra GT 40mm kit and I'm well happy with it. I always say you get what you pay for so didnt mind spending the cash to get quality stuff.

I saw lots of cheap kits on ebay etc but went on what other people have tried and I'm really happy with the results.

im goin with some rs4 reps like those pictured but dunno what finish to get. reckon i might be goin gettin them this week tho. 40mm drop is def way forward - my a3 is silver too and like the one on the pic loads!!

no dont you worry - ive seen some other wheels that could look sweet too! need to see them in the flesh and see what would suit what i wanna do to mine
