Anyone know if it is possible to connect an Ipod to the concert stereo - possibly where the cd changer goes into or any other way?

My cd changer doesnt work so seeing if I can use the ipod instead?

or Audi Connects2 iPod Car Adapter, there are a few more, a couple on eBay at the mo [but don't outbid me please ;-)].

i have one i dont use. its a cassette tape with a cord with small headphone jack at the other end, can connect into ipod etc.

price of postage if you want it.

and im hardly going t ask you to pay me 50p am I!

so pm me your address etc, and ill send it to you.

Dension is a very expensive FM transmitter.. Same money you want to look for a Parrot Mki9200 Best solution for ipod + bluetooth handsfree.

Features..

Charges the ipod and is a direct link on the line-out (strip at the bottom, not the headphone jack) for optimum sound quality
Shows all playlists, artists and album art etc on a little removable screen approx 2.4 inch..
Comes with a steering wheel control that works exactly the same as the ipod, (can be mounted anywhere you like, simular to the screen)

Also has bluetooth handsfree connectivity for your phone, screen shows all contacts and and images with contacts.. No need to use ipod or phone, fully handsfree, double mic for better sound quality for whoever your talking to...best solution imo for ipod in the car as its also very good sound quality for handsfree too.

www.parrot.com

Will all link into your car without changing anything from standard, very subtle and stylish mod.. Most cars with bose will need an additional SOT lead to adapt wiring, and if you have a fully amplified system some of the mainstream supplier such as Autoleads dont make a SOT lead for your car, however there are ways around it.

If you want any more info, look it up, or give me a shout.

The cassette tape one is not the best thing to do that job...lol. Sound quality is crap using one of these.

Not the Dension IceLink,Gateway 100, connects2 (as suggested above)

Actually they are not FM transmitters, they are wired connections. I've had the IceLink for almost 2 years now and never had any problem with it. The wiring goes behind and into the glovebox. The ipod craddle is in the glovebox and the ipod is always in there. No need to keep removing when leaving the car and nothing on display, leaving the dash OEM

the icelink no longer exists from new.... i can recommend although it is now the gateway 100 and has been modified twice since launch

Or fit a proper MP3 IPod music player like the Alpine IDA-X001 .. shows album artwork, song title and album and more!!!!! Oh and it will work on handsfree over bluetooth if u buy the adapter kit for it, works well. :p

Dude.. its wired into the arial and CD changer output. the sound quality isnt as great as it could be, thats all im saying.. there not in production anymore for a reason.. they really arent that great.

Just my opinion.. keeping in mind ive changed my whole system and I run a DJ company so sound quality is important to me. If you just want the songs played through your speakers, then by all means try it.. but for the same money, you can get a much better system... thats all im saying :)

Have you checked to see how much the alpine bluetooth adapter is bro?

It is wired into the CD output as this is the only way to get a direct line into the HU.... the icelink only ended production because it was upgraded in terms of the controls to the gateway system....cant honestly say without changing your whole HU that you could get a better connection into your OEM HU.... and sound quality is important to me too, the only way you could get a better sound is by changing the whole HU to a non standard....

pre 2000 i used to be a sound and lighting engineer building nightclub systems from scratch and managing stage performances.... if we're distributing CV's:salute:

-maybe we should go into business.. you set the stage, ill bring the performers and the promoters!

looking at getting the connects2 option... anyone know anything about these and which is the best? Im thinking the AADIPOD003??

honestly not got a clue though lol.
