Storage+Ipod issues

Ok, so had my first decent run in the new car at the w/e. Couple of problems raised there heads.

STORAGE - Bought the S/P version as I have kids - There is zero storage in the back, no back pockets to the seats. No door cubby holes where bottles of juice and various other bits of crap the kids have to put. Pretty bleak really...ok - so should have checked this out before I bought the car but come on Audi ...it's a family car for fecks sake...get the basic stuff right...very poor.

Can anyone recommend some decent nets or storage ideas for the back ? Needs to be something classy - no tat pls.

IPOD DOCK - Sound quality on the Bose is ok but useability is shocking if your into your music. No track/artist/album/playlist names on display. Only access 5 playlists or all tracks. Have to adjust a couple of settings on the ipod before you use it every time in the car...+ have to remove the case (if you use one) so that it fits the dock adapter..one word - disappointed.

Can anyone recommend a decent aftermarket dd head unit that offers excellent funtionality and syncs with the ipod, must work with the Bose. Alternatively an add on product that will sync the ipod to the current head unit and give me access to the ipod full functions ? Ideally something reasonably straightforward guys..

You should have ordered the Storage Pack option. It's only £90 and consists of nets on the back of the front seats, storage compartment under the driver's seat, map compartment in the glovebox, net on passengers side of centre console and bag hooks in luggage compartment.

It should be possible to get these items through the dealer and fit them.

Here is what I'm going to buy... and will definately solve your iPod problem. A bit pricey though. Also available from Kufatec for about £350 if you want to install it yourself.

I'm getting this fitted next week in my wifes A3. I think the Audi iPod adaptor is poor - just allowing playlists.

There is the Dension 300 (get the dual CAN) which gives a bit more controllability through the DIS. I've got the Dension 500 in my A6 and it gives pretty much a full iPod interface via the MMI. This Alpine system, whilst not cheap, gives the same - apart from search.

Will let you know what I think.

I'll look forward to your feedback! I'm going to order it and an RNS-E as soon as I put my S3 factory order in. I should be able to get the pair of them plus a VagCom to code it for cheaper than the factory RNS-E price! I've had several Alpine headunits in the past with iPod and they've all been excellent.

The advatage of paying for them as an option is that you can have them if you want them or not have them if you don't.

I would assume each part is available spererately.
