Blown Dipped Headlight

Hi,
My front right dipped bulb has blown and i was just after some help on which bulb i need, looked in the halfrauds light bulb book and they dont mention anything about gas discharge bulbs for my model, 2002 1.9tdi. just want to clear up what bulb i need and also the best way of fitting it. have heard a few ways..

any help would be appreciated

Unless you have xenon lights you will need an H7 bulb. Best way to fit it is to take the light out which is dead easy. I have a diagram I post quite often but they take the pi$$ out of me so you will have to do a search for it!

Whatever you have the fitment should be H7 as far as I am aware.

Gas discharge are HID (High Intensity Discharge) lighting, the pattern James is referring to is the shape of the baseplate and terminals of the bulb mate.

You will need an H7 HID bulb of the correct wattage for your car, halfords wont keep them unfortunately

Try ebay or a motor factor.

If simply replacing it doesn't work out, it may be a short to ground.
