Remaps !!??

i just had my miltek fitted and a new map loaded, pre and post map rollin road, first map with miltek came out at 290 second map came at 310 but the first map in my opinion was faster

iv put it to the test against my friends new cupra and ed30 (same engines different remaps) cupra is standard but has the stage 2 revo software the ed30 is stage 1 superchips map,intercooler and P Flo intake
they were all pretty equal but the ED30 pulled away that bit more and left a good gap between me and him.....................im not happy

now considering a different remap but its more money, the guy that made my map is altering it to perfect it (this was before i put it to the test with the guys as it was late by the time we were done and didnt have time to play more to perfect the map ) and im gonna ask for it to be stronger all round id like to see at least 330bhp on the RR, does anyone know if its possible ??
in terms of the kit used to alter maps etc is there different kits to get different gains like revo to giac to superchips etc or is the mapping kit all the same and just down to the person or company that actually makes the map ?

what do you guys think ??

Giac seems to be a good one for the S3 with miltek mate, mate wesley has that & 330 area is the norm I believe & few others, but thing is these RR's are very much pinch of salt mate as the readings from all accounts seem to be different all the time from different machines, have a good read up & ask some of the S3 boys directly if need be, Revo seems to be making alot of noise recently & they've always been full on & very aggressive as per my 8L S3 was, man that moved I tell yer, lol.

my mate with the cupra has revo but had fault codes up and had to go bk etc but seems ok now, giac sounds good but in all now im £400 down on remaps so im a bit reluctant to spend unless i get proven figures :-S

its not exactly the figures im bothered about its more that a standard cupra with a different map pretty much kept up with me after i spent a fortune on miltek, evoms, map etc it really should be happening i know RR's vary a lot as you say

i was thinking of going to awesome gti for a pump and APR stage 2+ whats ur verdict on that mate ? i think they have 50% off maps at the mo so my friend was saying dunno if mines included but its so much more money !:-S

Think Iggu was seeing 340+ when he added the bolt ons (intake, Milltek)

Its easy for me to say but I would bite the bullet and go REVO or GIAC.

If the map isnt `right`then throwing money at more hardware could prove fruitlesss.

Yep - 342bhp with a full turbo back Milltek and Forge Intake. Nothing else.
Revo all the way. Don't forget with Revo you can alter the map settings yourself to take advantage of any other modifications you might do (increase boost etc.).

There you go, knew some of the good S3 lads would chirp in, helpful lot aswell.

Pauls right though, sounds like the map maybe the problem, Revo or Giac seems to getting some very good reviews for a while now on the S3 8P's, consistently aswell, talk to Wesley about the Giac as I know he was over the moon with, I've had Revo before & cant fault them tbh.

Also as Iggu says Revo has added bonus of changing the settings with the dongle of course which is more money but well worth as I had on my old S3.

the guy is altering my map for more power he said he mapped it for reliability and iv told him to go balls out at my own risk lol he is good so i no he wont make somethin thats just gonna go bang !

im so tempted just to go stage 2+ as just a stage 2 is about 499 right ? iv spend 400 now on maps and its a lot of money, pump for 500 and stage 2+ maybe in with it at 8 or 900 i dunno ..........sigh my bank gets some hammering

i take it i cant just copy my mates cupra map n load it onto mine with vagcom lmao would be nice...man 342 is ace ! i didnt notice any difference after my zaust n stage 2 infact i thaught it was slower but the pre n post RR's show a 20bhp increase !!?? it is a lot smoother tho il say that

PS: where and how do i get a giac ? the 3 map hammer thing sounds good also was looking into the ST3 group buy ?? any feedback with that
