i'd like to get my DTM edition A4 detailed having seen some great results on this site. Can anyone recommend places in the west mids that can do this as i'm not brave enough to have a go at it myself?

I've been thinking the same mate...but after loads of reading on the various detailing sites(primarily PB
) i decided to get one of the Megs 220 DA's and various grades of Menzerna polish,together with a handful of different pads...
Audi paint is so blinkin' hard,so it takes a bit of punishment,and i've had mine from new,so i wasn't too concerned about the depth of topcoat.
It's been a slow process,as i can only put in a few hours here and there,but results so far have been really good.
My top tips would be to get yourself the plushest microfibres you can,as inferior ones will ruin all your hard work,and a decent halogen light source to show up any defects! Oh - work undercover if you can too.
Honestly mate,if you've got the time,you can't really go wrong...just don't dive in with a really aggresive compound,start gently if you're unsure,and if that doesn't work,go on to a different pad/polish/cut combo until it does.
There's plenty of detailed guides on the detailing sites/forums,and the guys are more than happy to help.
Failing that,you could pay someone else to do it! It's just easier that way!!
