New to the forum due to putting a deposit down yesterday on a new S3.

List pprice with the extras is £28,810. Nearest to guessing what i got it for wins a prize! On a more serious note, why buy 2nd hand when you can get great deals on new??

24? that would be the deal of the century wouldn't it?! Got 10% off which i thought was good, not so sure now after your message!

i got 18% off although its not an S3

congratulations
what options did you go for hope not ibis white :whistle2:
how long untill its delivered?

I originally went for White but changed at the last moment to pearlescent black!! Went for the safe option.
Black leather, bose speakers, ipod connection, rear parking sensors, non smoking pack, light and rain sensor pack, matt inlay and that's it!
Haven't got a definite date yet but mid June is what they told me when i test drove one on Saturday (only paid the deposit yesterday)

10% still not to be sniffed at when you consider how difficult it could be to get 5% just 12 months ago. Well done.

I managed 13% and a few other incentives but my car was a 'stock' item and this always allows extra margin when approaching end of month, enjoy it when it arrives I'm beginning to really like mine, 4 days and 300 miles into ownership.

Thats what I managed (10%) on mine when I ordered in december. (Delivered on 14th March).

It was a factory order with me going a little mad with the options boxes. So I was pleased to get this level of discount.

So surely the sig has to be changed now as the SB has filled that fresh air space :)

Everybody has a white one, one more wont make a difference.

They look absolutely stunning at night under lights with xenons glowing.... but on a typical dull English day... dull as dishwater.

Almost went for Ibis myself... that is until I saw Sprint Blue :)

Sprint is very nice, look after it with Jeffs Acrylic wax.

I manged 10% off on my S3 Sportback with similar options ordered on the 23rd march, I also got 10% off service cost for as long as I keep it as well. but i went for the sprint blue.

Broadspeed was quoting 11 or 12% on an S3 Sportback when I looked semi-recently, for a factory order.

Where are all you guys who are getting offered 10 - 13% discount?
I'm in Aberdeen, and all I got offered was £1380 off for not having a car to trade in!!
I haven't ordered it yet, but am hoping to do so in the next week or two.
10% is almost £3000 - so its a pretty decent saving. I could get a few extra extras with that!
I'd happily put my business through a dealer a few hundred miles away if it means a huge saving - because my local dealer will still have to do my warranty etc!

They just put you into contact with a cheap main dealer, you deal with the dealer, pay the dealer, pick car up from dealer etc. Used similar firms before (carfile/drivethedeal), all very easy, and cheap!

Thats exactly what I did with mine, what I saved on the discount I spent on the options

Wearside Audi in Sunderland - I dealt with a Salesperson (being PC) called Shannel Cain - her number is 0191 564 5600.

Both myself and JamS3 (another member on here) both gained 10% discounts. Mine on an S3 Sportback ordered in December and JamS3's on an S3 hatch ordered around April'ish last year I think.

There's a deal to be had - give her a call.

Tell her I put you onto her and you'd like the same treatment as Paul and Jamie who ordered through Wearside, she'll know who we are

Thats a good price when you consider Audi offered me £20k p/x on my 57 plate 23,000 mile s3 today

that's how i managed my 10%, I went to see the dealer and then got prices from brokers4cars and autobytel (these are part of inchape who own Audi dealers in south west England.) they will quote about 8% off list. the trick is to get them to agree to this price, give you dealer a call and tell him what you can get it for, they will match it, (if not walk away and find another dealer). if they will match it, arange to go an see the dealer and the 'buisness manager' and then start to hit them harder and negotioate, if they won't give 10% walk away and find another. it took me a couple of weeks but in the end i had 3 delaers that were willing to go to 10%.

one thing to check is that you dealer are part of different groups if you are going to play them against each other.

good luck

Good choice! Now the painful part.... the wait! Get some pics up when you take delivery.

I did a similar exercise to buy my new SE Sportback. I wanted to drive a new 140 and 170 2.0TDI with an S-tronic gearbox. I found two dealers, one who had the 170 and one who had the 140. After having the test drive, they both offered 10% on the new SE. I then went to see my normal local dealer, who I have been dealing with for 15 years and showed him the quotes. He immediately said - I'll match the price and he also offered a much better trade-in price for my existing Sportback, perhaps because he sold it to me in the first place.

Congrats on ur new motor mate, although 10% disc is very good, I would be pushing your dealer for more, they have 15% margin on that car and will budge if u play your cards right,

example, ive been offered a brand spanka TTS CAB, unreg, phantom blk, sensors, nav, etc the better 19's etc etc. its list is just uder 38k. At first offer, they will do the deal at 31k, so imagine what you could get if you pursue a bit harder.

I dont care what any salesman says, the industry is on its ****, people dont have disposable income, you shouldnt be hesitant in screwing the ******* for all you can get out of em !
