will post when i get home Jas, mostly vids though for me as misus had camera and i spent (what seemed like)most of the day sat in the queue!!

When is GTI inters ?? Need to get up there and get an accurate 1/4 mile time...what was Sunday like then, many S3's/Audi drivers turn up ??
Leggy from what i have heard inters are more likely to be inaccurate times when compared to Pod... no doubt someone will correct me if im wrong...
there were quite a few, think it was over 10 S3's over the whole day (some left and some came late).... a couple A4's, and S4.... and then there were a few more on other stands with diff clubs

I know what your sayin about the queue Tim, I only managed 4 runs and then got fed up of waitin. I managed 3 at 14.2 then finally got a half decent launch and got 13.9. Think i saw your car in the queue to but wasnt sure if it was you.
yeah i saw ya mate, you were with another forum werent ya? remember seeing ya car on the walk around (didnt recognise your car as one off the forum).... there were a few dolphins there on the day...kind of ruins my argument that silver is the most popular colour
They are really good times fella, what were you launching at? mine was roughly at 3k although the last launch i dont know what i was at as i got ushered forward and before i had time to think the lights had hit green...

What lovely weather, first time for me at the pod and on the strip. It's quite obvious more practice is needed.
I had two runs against two modified Mk1 Golfs. Won the first with a time of 15.5
and a slow start, totally messed up the second run against a stripped out Mk1 .
(My clutch is slipping badly since remap, well thats my excuse anyway).
Good to meet a few of you and really enjoyed it overall, gives me an excuse to get the clutch sorted in time for the next one.

I'm made up some1 got sum pics of mine on the strip. My mate managed to miss me out of the photos on the strip. Just managed the empty strip. But he managed to get the jet car. Cheers!! Lol. Does that mean I should take on the jet car next time??
Tim, yeah i was on the vag owners stand. Was a last minute thing. There were a couple of Dolphins there, including the one that girl was driving. And she was on the strip. I looked at hers more than yours if i'm honest. Not for the car though.
I was launchin around 4k i think. to scared to look down. Only had that one good launch though, the others it bogged down.

MArk, great job at organising mate, brilliant day and sooo glad ive finally 1/4 mile'd the damn thing, although a lil practise needed

Our TQS launches best @4k, just dump the clutch and let the electronics and haldex sort it out,lol

yup i think im gonna follow you on this at inters(didnt av ****** to drop at 5k), really want to get an fmic fitted before then.... want to break the 14.5 barrier as a minimum

Only had 1 run and didnt get the best of starts i got 15.5 im sure there was another second in the car though easily. Shame i didnt get any-more runs

i just see it as a false economy..... yes we spend loads of cash on our cars but for me there is a limit im prepared to spend given the item im buying, purely because its dead money when you minus the benefit of the part
had to laugh, i have video of the race above with the dolphin and the white bora/golf hybrid thingy...that guy pushed it all the way down the queue and lost by quite a margin.... although dont know if he improved on his own time or not...

The website pics don't really do them justice, i did look on the day at full res ones and they look amazing.
I enjoyed the day, nice to meet you all, we would have had a video of me destroying Tim down the strip but he bottled it at the right at the end
I think his wing mirrors weighed him down to much being the genuine ones!
My best was 14.4 and i also got two 14.5's, I don't think my car has much more in it all my starts were pretty good, the reaction times were all between 0.200 and 0.300 and never missed a gear, first run i took it to just over 6k in every gear which was my fastest and the other two i changed 5k ish, i don't think it makes much difference what revs you change gear in within reason as long as you get the start-1st-2nd perfect you should get a good time.
