Guys im in the market for some 18" alloys.... prefer to buy a set of 18" with decent tyres as im on the limits now and would rather spend the same money(as it would cost to replace the 17" tyres) on some second hand RST's or similar with tyres (as it wouldnt be much more expensive).

Not really guided towards new given the fact that it would be dead money paying an extra £400 on top minimum (not prepared to lose that kind of money on alloys)

If anyone spots any can they point me in the right direction, ive checked Briskoda/ebay and tyre smoke but obviously theres loads of VW sites out there

when I got a set of reps I think the alloys worked out at £54 each and the tyres were slightly cheaper than the normal retail price. I think I paid about £640 for 4 18 inch alloys and tyres but i`d never buy reps again tbh.
 
i have a set of bbs rc,s in the shed well theres five in total three with tyres and two without im only looking for £200 for them. i could email pics if your interested

yeah ive found someone local who has a set of 4 refurbished originals off a TT with new tyres, trying to get him to settle on a price, although keeping my options open until he does (im thinking £400 as tyres arent a top make- nanchang or sumat like that)

Get some LM reps mate. Would be STUNNING on your car. Best colour imo.

18" and a set of H&R springs would see it right. I'd love a set myself but think i might have lost my license, long story!

I like the BBS CHs but they cost a mint! There are some replicas like Jaz Ver Ones but I can only find them in 19" and from america. I'd like 18" but dont want to shell out on suspension until it needs replacing and I dont want the car to look like a monster truck!
 
Tim, have you checked on Edition 38, theres always LOADS of alloys for sale on there...

if it wasnt a small matter of £800 odd quid i would mate, just not prepared to spend that sorta cash on alloys.... they more than likely end up kurbed when the misus has been out in it anyway, dont get me wrong im not doing a 'S3MAD' and looking for a mint set for £250 on the other hand - just dont get hard on alloys like some do:thumbsup::laugh:

lowride, not 100% sure on those, what are the tyres like tread wise?
 
gutted!!! just went to bid on some RST's on ebay, only 1 mile away from me and were totally refurbed with new tyres, offered the kid £400 with 9 days to go and he wouldnt have it, waited until the last minute (ten mins of no trouble refreshing) and the computer freezes on me in the last 60 secs and i would have won them too.....p**ed off arent the words!! they went for £380.... :crying::aggressive:

If you don't buy a set of proper BBS at that price (assuming they are not square or buckled) and instead choose cheap-*** replicas/fake anythings you need your head read.

RCs are one of the all time classic wheels...light as a light thing and uber strong.

Hell, if I had a car they'd fit I'd have taken his arm off at that price!
 
Glen, i wasnt sure about the look of the BBS, will happily take your opinion of them but im not 100% - well as much the ones i was eyeing up..... the RSTT's were totally original which is why i went for them, theres loads of reps on the bay but really dont want a heavy crap cast sat on my car.....

The 18" BBS CH are £1299 in silver. Goodyear F1 assym 225/40x18 are £440 for the set
Black Editons are £100 more.

All in stock for next day delivery.....

Lee i would but want 18"s as my tires are up for replacement, i can get a second hand set with decent tyres for not much more....

Sam, yup they are really nice , saw some on the mk1v's at pod.... not prepared to spend the bucks though, would do if it were a new S3:salute: unfortunately i dont own one as yet

finally won a set of RSTT's on the bay, original 18" with 4 pirelli rosso's @ 5mm tread, one has puncture....managed to get them at £295, they look in really good cond with only one having blistering.... *breathes sigh of relief*

will do mate, i was so torn on getting something different - just cant drag myself away from OEM stuff.... spotted some really nice 19" Audi OEM splits on edition32, kid wanted £800 for them without tyres though (multispoke design)
 
i would love some different wheels for mine, just cant decide what i want, plus i want car mapping first. I think you've made a good choice anyways dude they will look sweet. 19" would have ruined handling anyways.

Do you have PCD adaptors or are the wheels non OEM 100x5's?
 
mine are big fakes. lol. have to have spacers though to clear my brembo's. wot you reckon to bbs rc??
 
their nice mate, the fella emailed me the pics and they look good.... bit too old school for me though, not the look i wanted although like Glen said 'very cheap' good quality wheel
