Ive been trying to work out which rims will look best on my Dolphin grey S3, on standard suspension, so I thought Id ask you lot what your opinion is! My first choice would be the 18 inch LM's (Likely to be reps due to cost)

These defintitely look the part but I fear they may look daft on standard suspension, plus Ive yet to see them on a dolphin grey (Which I guess could be a good thing)

Second choice is to play it safe with the 18 Inch TT style

Plenty of standard dolphin greys with these on so Im swaying towards these as I know they look the part.

And lastly the 18inch RS6 style, slightly more rare than the TT style I think but still a fairly safe bet

If anyone can help me make my mind up Id really appreciate it, as I dont want to spend the cash only to get it wrong!

Lm's or CH's in 18" I personally prefer the later...look nice when the car is sitting slightly lower, not sure bout standard suspension though...

This is the only after market wheel that looks good on the S3. End of.

I can see the appeal mate I really can, but they dont really do anything for me tbh. I would go and order a set of LMs next week if I knew for certain the car didnt look like it was on stilts afterwards.

Of course there is a 4th choice, pay £200 for some new rubber for the front of my Avus, and get them refurbed. Would save a few hundred quid that way I guess.

Add another vote for LM's! :superman:

Car goes faster with them on :p

Another vote for BBS CH but on a grey car it would have to be "Black Edition"

I also vote for them (I get two votes?!?):arco:

Here are some pics that I took last week in Scotland, tho these ones are the 17" version. Weather is getting better out here in Czech... so the LM's with the summer slicks will go back on soon. Will take new pics and post them.

But either way, you cant go wrong with these or the LM's...... IMHO :yahoo:

Some cracking pics of Scotland there mate! Im gonna get shot for saying this but Im not a huge fan of the CH's either :undwech: just dont think they'd look right on a dolphin grey, which is whats putting me off the LM's, ive yet to see one with them on. Shall I be a wet flannel, play it safe and get the RSTTs lol

LM's as the RS reps been done to death. LM's are few and far between these days, the new fad is CH's (sorry to anyone who has them). You could be different and go Sportecs!

LM's get my vote too, wish I'd got some now.....never mind!.

CHs are the nuts but very expensive. I like the look of Maz's car on 18" Avus reps. I also like an S3 on 17s but dropped. The Avus was designed for the car and looks good but just needs to be a bit bigger.

don't like CH's myself. bit too much like venoms!

TT's and RS6's for the OEM look.
I like LM's but still think Porsche Turbo twists take some beating!

Ok Ive searched high and low for any coloured S3 on standard suspension with LM's fitted. If anyone has any pics Id really appreciate it, as the fear of the car looking like its on stilts is to great for me to take the plunge and buy some.

Thanks!
