double din conversion anybody got parts wanting rid?

I am looking to convert from single to double din with the intentionm of eventually going rnse.

However, atm, funds will not stretch to a rnse, so i wish to do the conversion ready, and hopefully pick up a cheapish double din stereo for the time being.

2 questions

1 is there a guide anywere to the conversion? i have had a look but must be being dumb as i cant find one.

2 has anybody got any bits lying around to do the conversion and also a double din stereo that they want shot of?

Thought i would ask on here first before buying on ebay

I looked on ebay for a bit, gave up and bought new as they are rare & go for about the same price as new! It was about the £100 mark IIRC for cage, trims, buttons. I just trimmed my aircon unit down with good success.

So has anyone got a stereo they want rid of then?

I have a spare double din climate control unit and its not the trimmed one

The parts are available for audi at a decent price, I know NHN on the forum has the whole set up for sale (cage, buttons etc etc)
