ETKA part number req'd please!

My copy of ETKA isnt working for some reason,

I'd really appreciate if someone could look me up a part number for a instrument cluster?

Its for a 3.0 TDI Audi A6 (2007), with colour DIS, MPH speedo and adaptive cruise control (PR-8T4)

I know it isnt strictly 8P related but this section seems to get the most traffic and I need the number so I can get spending, Thanks in advance guys......
 
It'll be a MPH speedo, They come up from time to time. I hope!

Its a pain because Audi wont sell me one. They'll only supply the exact cluster that was fitted to the car when it was built for some daft reason I cant figure out.

Which is useless as I want Adaptive Cruise Control!
 
Cheers John, thats not a bad idea. I doubt they will/can but its worth a try I guess.

Why do Audi make things so ****** hard sometimes? Don't they want my money?!
 
If you have problems getting one from Audi i can get one through work if you like, i order all my stuff through work and pay for it when i pick it up along with 10% discount on everything i buy.

give me a shout if you are struggling.

I am struggling already!

Audi point blank refuse to sell me one as it wasnt fitted to my car when it was built.

You reckon you can order one? There would be a drink or two in it for you if you can!
 
I can't believe they wont sell you it???? Surely if you buy it and it doesn't work then tough to you, it wouldn't be any skin of their nose, even if you asked them to code it for you and they couldn't. Caveat emptor and all that stuff LOL

I seen to remember years ago BMW refused to sell M series parts without a valid VIN numember but you can understand why.

Annoyingly its true. I havent a clue why. It doesnt even need coding in by Audi so I cannot see the issue.

The search goes on for a way around it! Hopefully Robin can come up trumps for us! (fingers crossed...)
 
wont the immob need coding? When I order parts from Ingrams in Ayr (used to be Audi dealer before 'Ayr Audi' was built) I just quote the part numbers i got off of ETKA without issue but I guess a cluster could be different?
 
Yes the cluster is different for some odd reason. I dont understand it but that's the way it is. Good old Audi!

Immobiliser isnt in the cluster on the A6 (4F) hence no coding/key matching is req'd.
 
There is a site called vagcat that let's you look online. Or you could download a copy from mytouareg. There's always plenty for sale on ebay too. Sorry can't post links as I'm on the iphone.
 
I'll give VW a call on Monday as i can order Audi stuff through them as well and let you know what i can do, i can't see it being a problem to be honest.
 
The only problems i can see is alot of the dash inserts have to be ordered manually with full chassis details. I will check when im at work on monday and see if i can get you one. If i can i will do u some good discount. Well as much as i can give because discounts from audi are lousy on those dash inserts.
