Idiots with front fog lights on during all conditions!!

What's with the craze of having front fog lights on constantly? There appears to be more and more clowns using fog lights along with side lights not even dipped beam.

This also yanks my chain, front one's I can deal with, but rears!!!! I think in 15 years of driving ive needed my rear fog's 5-5 times. It is never that bad.
Some people dont realise they are fog and not 'spot' lights.
 
The rears get my goat too but they tend to be down to drivers not knowing when to use them (slightest low cloud)or forgetting to switch them off or - and I'm going to get slated for this one - certain drivers that are oblivious to the fact their car is fitted with them and don't know they are on even when pointed out to them.

Worst offenders for the fronts is definately Chavs/Neds and what really ****** me off is they use them with their dipped beam off and tend to sit almost right up my **** but far enough back to dazzle in my rear view - this leads me onto the number of cars on the roads nowadays with headlights out of alignment

Hahha, im gonna have to ask though, what are Neds? New one for me that. Also, probaly illegal HID kits that blind, they are also guilty of fog light abuse. The chair for them all.

Neds are the Scottish equivalent - -rumoured to stand for Non Educated Delinquents - Once they reach the dizzy heights of car ownership it's Corsas all round with Burberry cap etc.

The chair's too good fro them - hanging without the drop gets my vote:motz:
 
Front fogs on is a common sight around Preston/Leyland area I am afraid - seems to afflict those of 1 brain cell........at £30 a time and a producer you think the local traffic plod could have a field day.....

Too busy catching people doing 35mph in 30 limits (like me) though :-(

I agree. I have been driving for nearly 19 years :faint: and in that time used my rear foglights maybe 4 or 5 times at the most. Same with the fronts really (although my first cars didn't have front fogs!)

It's true though, front fogs on wet roads behind me really pi$$ me off. I can just picture the driver following me's thought process "Why has the car in front got a flashing rear fog light?) :think:
 
Me too. I've been driving for 25 years and have used mine maybe 5 -6 times at most and the fog had to be thick.

While I was out picking up my son 1/2 an hour ago guess what I saw coming towards me? :wacko: A Focus with side lights and fogs on!!

Think I'll go down to the Comet/B&Q car park and hang out.

For those of you who haven't heard of the term 'Ned' have a look here http://www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk/ pay particular attention to the toys. The Nedagotchi is a fav of mine but closely followed by the Ned alphabet.

I'm a bit dissapointed really as we up here north of the border know what a Chav is. Our Neds are losing out :lmfao:
 
I had a orange focus st up my backside to day with just his fogs and side lights :aggressive: and i just wanted to slam on the brakes and lmao :lmfao: , but old reliable has had enough bashing latley.........

Whats with chavs who slouch in the seat with there arm across the other side of the car to steer aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh

Pfffft it annoys me more when they dont put any lights on during low light of fog situations.

And whats the point of sidelights? Dont the idiots realise they dont make any difference when driving? I mean cant they see the other people with sidelights on and then go "Oh wait I cant see that persons side lights until hes right infront of so I better put my lights onto dip beam".

Too stupid to realise that lights are there to make other drivers aware of you not just to allow you to see in the dark!
 
We should start a fashion of flashing people who do the side lights/fog lights thing. Eventually they might get fed up with it and stop.

I often think that, when I am following a car with no lights on, they must be looking at the tail lights of the car in front of them, my headlights behind them, and the headlights of the oncoming cars - but still it doesn't dawn on them to turn theirs on ....... :idea:
 
yup, people who cruse about with their front fogs on really **** me off! I normally give them a nice HID full beam to teach them a lesson :laugh:
 
How low down are your eyes? :think: Honestly, front fogs don't blind me half as much as ****** xenons, and nobody complains about them...

Rear fogs, I'm with ya! They are a pain in the ****/eyes because they are a) higher up, and b) on the car you may be behind for miles, instead of one going the other direction that you only see for a couple of seconds :wacko:

Not a front-fog-user myself, just doesn't bother me :shrug:

There isn't the same 'fashion' in Germany as here though mate. It's not about people using their front fogs, it's idiots using their front fog with just sides!
 
Are they Fogs or driving lights these day? Anyone noticed the stupid system new Mercs have, where individual lower fogs/driving lights light up when you indicate and turn into the corner! It's suppose to be a safety measure.

Thats quite a common feature these days it would appear, when it first appeared about 18 months ago I was amazed at the number of virtually brand new Mercs with a bulb out already :whistle2:

Can't stand chav c*** driving around with their fog's on because they think they look cool. Apart from people that creep at junctions, or drive up your *** - they're the scum of the earth!
 
Have you driven a facelift b5 a4 in the dark and rain with people coming the other way with their hid's aimed at your eyes? I would rather use my fogs so i can see the road and not crash thank you! The lights are gash. hid's are far worse if you ask me,most seem to point right at your eyes. When a newer car is behind me i can see the shadow of my car from the bright light behind.
 
This is off topic, but a correctly adjusted set of HID's in a ellipsoid headlight is not blinding at all. I have had mine in nearly two years and can't recall ever having been flashed.

I've a lot better idea instead of the fine for driving with fogs on and side lights - its simple you have your fog lights smashed for you.
Its going to cost you a lot more than £30 to replace them and hopefully make you think twice about it.
I started giving people who drive with their fog lights and side lights on the w**ker sign, the one that did pull along side me ask (not so politely) why I gave them the w**ker sign - I just explain that he had his w**nker lights on so I was giving him the greeting.
I've not seen a clio produce so much smoke as he wheel spun off !

I did however see a 52 plate A3 tonight with sidelights and foglights on, and it was dark - which i think is what you're getting at?

yeah it is funny is that supposed to be me though ...... you no dat init and all that **** isn't me .... im not even gonna get in to this argument again if my typing is or English is a big deal to anyone either dont read it or do one ....don't bother telling me because there's nothing i can do about it and will lead to nastiness hope that's crystal for anyone who wants to comment .......
