After sum serious thinking I have decided to go for a new fuel pump and upgrade to revo stage 2+. What pump do you guys who have done this recommend? Where is the best place to buy one from?
I'm getting Autotech fitted next week.
I've spoken to Shaun at AmD and Carl at Revo about this - the issues with Autotech have been fully resolved for some time.
But as warrencox says - you want someone VERY experienced and highly skilled to do this job for you. That's why I'm off to AmD myself ....

I have the APR. For me it was a piece of mind thing as i read a lot a of things about the Autotech that put me off. If they have resolved the issues then that's good. My concern would be that the first test of the Autotech after assembly is when its on your car whereas the APRs are a all fully tested at the factory. After reading details of what pump failure could cause it wasn't a risk i wanted to take just to save £400. Saying that more people have the Autotechs and i haven't read of any serious probs on UK cars - so the decision is yours
JKM are really good for the APR - some interesting info on their site as well
Is all Ok with your Stage 2+ ?
No misfires or anything strange going on ?
Tell me how it feels - I'm excited !
as a matter of interest all you people that have changed your pump have you changed the camshaft to the harder one here is the link http://www.autotech.com/download/fuelPump.pdf
i'm pretty certain this refers to the cams in the standard 2.0T FSI in the MK5 GTI etc, which are different to the ones in the S3/ED30/Cupra
All is good so far, nothing strange - touch wood!
remember what it was like when you went from stock to remapped.... its that again but better
cheers bud:thumbsup: im thinking of getting the pump done but when i read the link it sounds like you need the cam done aswelli'm pretty certain this refers to the cams in the standard 2.0T FSI in the MK5 GTI etc, which are different to the ones in the S3/ED30/Cupra
My advice is go for APR, cause you preserve your original pump as it is and later you can eassily exchange back, Im very very satisfied with the APR pump and APR stg2+ map, it has resolved all the issues Iv been having without the pump.
@ S3-N
