After 12months of the standard RS4...

Looking good from the photos.
Get some more up from over the weekend if you can
What it look like in person? Is it what you expected?

Its better than I expected, it looks ace, really does look good. The vinyl finish looks like paint even close up, just not to the touch ofc.

I will clean it and take some better pics over the weekend to try and show it off....

Majority of doubters at work and friends are now officially proved wrong :sly:

Just looking at you avatar, you have a chrome grille, but you know have the optics kit - Did you wrap the grille and window surrounds?

I bought the black optic grill when I bought the car, avatar pic is out of date... I think the previous owner blacked the chrome window surrounds

Looks great, also wondering what it's like close up?
Do they have to remove any parts to cover them i.e the bumpers - is the vinyl folded around the edges? or is it done whilst everything is fitted to the car?

they take the badges and number plates off, the rest is done while on the car I beleive. It is round the edges, comes with a 3 year warranty, provided you follow the care guide

That's a cracking job Klauster - looks good... and when the wheels etc are done it's going to finish it off nicely.

gonna hang fire till next month with the wheels, I actually quite like it as it is atm :yum:

I honestly can't recommend totally dynamics enough, Lee is a top bloke, and you honestly get the impression they know what you are looking to achieve

think i have seen your car around Leeds a few times, seing an rs4 today in your original colour lowered has pretty much confirmed my new car choice!!

One thing I have noticed, apart from how awesome it looks, is that the wheels look smaller than they did - I had the same with my S3 in white, it had the effect of making the wheels look smaller - Must be a white thing!

Looks amazing mate... Done a cracking job they did.

Get more pics esp close ups...

Bet that smile on your face isn't going away for a long time... esp if you've proven few people wrong.
:icon_thumright:

Damn! That came out beautifully!!! Your results have pretty much done it for me.... Roll on summer :)

Maybe you missed my question in all the excitement... but do you know if they have any vinyl that would match your mirrors, with the alu/metal effect? Would like to give that outfit a couple small jobs (roof rails, grill surround).

Enjoy mate.... I take it you are driving that beast around town right now:yahoo:

just seen this thread..and wow!! looks awsome, ive heard of this before but never seen any pics, i would definately consider having this done..what does it feel like to touch? like a sticker? must be really strange at first..

Got to say I was not sure about this when I first read this thread, thought maybe you had gone nuts Klauster, but got to say it looks superb. If you where to want to take the vinyl off would it leave any residue etc??

Good Work !!

Mark

im sure they could, they are able to replicate most colours, while I was picking my car up, someone was getting a carbon effect roof done on a BMW.

sort of yeah, but looks like paintwork even close up, its very clever

when I'm fed up of the white thing, I can have it all removed in 2 hours, only issues are if the car had bad stone chips or rust (which it didnt) as the paint can come off when removing. Other than that, it actually protects my original bodywork, and won't leave any marks if i get it removed before 5 years

klauster - Could you give me the details of the company that do this?

It looks amazing and have got to do it to my car!!!

what colour on an S3 though?

Cheers,
Dave

cheers Lance-22, what do you drive and are you about in worcs much? (sorry to go off topic a little bit!!)

my advice would be, stay clear of racoon, have heard a few horror stories, I used totally dynamic, its franchised so i can only speak for the Leeds/Bradford guys, but they are excellent

You need to change your avatar now mate!
I tried calling them earlier, but seems they were not about. Will give them a call on Monday.

Cheers!

Looks really good Nick! How far do they go with the vinyl, can you still see that it's a black car when you open the door and see the surrounds?

i have an a3 2.0tdi sport, yeh im there at university during the week and frequent between my partners house in manchester and mine in evesham on the weekends..do you live in worcs i presume?

For an additional charge they can do all the door surrounds etc.. but I wasn't fussed. You can tell its a black car underneath when u open the door, but thats about it.

It deffo works, have had comments at the supermarket and filling up with fuel about how good it looks and how no one seen a white one before :search:

Has made it feel completely new and special all over again... i know that sounds daft but I really like it

The only thing that's been putting me off that matt black is the sprint blue surrounds. Might be time for a change too :D

White with black optics is sweet. How long till the wheels and mirrors are a little darker? (It's a slippery slope once you start...)

Well i haven't been online for a little while so i've missed the progress in this thread since i first posted.... Looks brilliant, you must be very happy mate.

I honestly think this could be the way forward. For instance i would love a white M3 but in a few years time depreciation will suffer if the white car thing dies.
Instead i'm seriously thinking going for safe old black or grey and having it vinyl wrapped matt white. It's only £800 and just peels right off if the colour goes out of fashion.

Awesome product!

Wow, this is amazing :faint:

I was thinking of changing my car when its a year old but im considering just changing its colour now!

Did you have to wash the car first or do they do that to? (I hate washing cars)

what you mean sprint blue surrounds......you mean if you get yours done ??? he said you could pay extra to cover these

That looks friggin awesome! Fair play to you. I can see why you're chuffed. Makes the job of re-spraying a hell of a lot easier and cheaper! Lovely looking car! :respekt:

I have one question actually.... How does the vinyl stand up to scratching??
Do you get surface swirls or tears easily??

Because if you do i'm guessing you're ******. There's no t-cutting there!

As promised, here are some pics, I gave it a quick wash inbetween snow showers.

you get a care guide, I can't comment on its wear but the warranty is 3 years, and if u do get an issue, each panel can be re-done, as its not just one piece.

Thanks for the comments Chris, Alloys and mirrors in a couple of weeks I reckon

the finish and detail is amazing, I'm stunned, its amazing what you can do with a bit of sticky back plastic.

Mark

Wow! It looks super in white klauster. Really accentuates the lines and detail in the bodywork!

I look forward to seeing the dark alloys/mirrors.
