Hi guys

Managed to get my hands on a set of Speedlines - 19"

Thinking of buying them...

Look like this:

P3010452.jpg

5 Wheels - 1 grey, rest are silver.

255/40 Tyres - ET48.

Wanted to strech some 225s over them...

They're in mint nick...

1) How much are they worth?

2) Will they fit my A3?

Cheers :D

Don't know about your questions but they are a lovely wheel.

A client at work has a TT with them on looks lovely.

Just hope they fit and if the price is right, I'll have them!

id give him 6 ton max if that with tires 4 ton without

Well theres a set on ebay at the minute for 1800 iirc

A set just finished on ebay and sold for 800! My max bid was 600 so lost out in a big way!

heh pete you got any pics of your car lowered yet ???? sorry kaz just gotta ask

Sorry, no pics, but it sits great on my new 19s (see other thread!)

The car is filthy, but will take some pics on Sunday. Alternatively if you're at Ultimate Dubs on Sunday the car will be there..

Hi pete - He said they're 8.5inchs

If you dont mind me asking - whats the width of a wheel with a 225mm tyre on it? Is that 8inches?

Is so, with the magical information i got from you the other day, the should just about fit with streched tyres...

Cool. I'll be at UD too but not in my car, i live virtually next door! My Mrs hates it because she cant get out and about due to "lads in old Polo's with broken suspension ragging around" She'll learn one day! :)

Lovely wheels! I swapped my 18s for 19s a while back, sourcing them from ebay. £800 with tyres is a fair price, and you can flog the tyres as they're ususally the wrong size for an A3 (mine were from an A6).

225s are the best tyres, though there's a bit of stretch and offer ****** all rim protection (so don't park too close to the kerb!).

225 tyres would usually be fitted to a 7.5J or 8J rim. They should be ok on an 8.5J with a small stretch.

If they're 8.5J they may rub a bit still, especially if you drop on coilovers, but hopefully not toooo much!

Mine are 8.5x19 ET48 on 225 F1s, and lowered on H&R springs. No rubbing at all, other than the OS/R a tiny bit and only with a fully loaded car. The springs work brilliantly and the handling is sublime (mine is quattro which helps).

Thanks for that - they should be flat with the arches I think so with streched 225/35/19s, it should work!!

Just going to wait and see for what Maars says and then Im going to barterrr :p

**** - over 3k on my my car in 3 months :S Best hide my bank statement lol
