Right, I've just managed to sell my current car privately so i'm no longer restricted to dealers in terms of trade-in etc.

Noticed quite a few people on here thinking about changing for a 09 s3, sportback or RS4, so I was wondering if anyone was looking to change in about 4-6 weeks time and have a realistic valueation of their car?

Only real things i'm after on the car is the FBMFSW, Bose.
Black, Sprint or White would be perfect.

Just can't seem to find what i'm looking for in the dealer network and theres a lot of old, overpriced stock.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Wow, that seems a bargain.

I know that it is a 2007/06, but still. Especially at 12k. If it is mint I shouldnt imagine that you will have to wait that long.

On PH most 8P are still going between 18k to 22k. Which in my opinion is about right (spec dependant).

Grl snap it up...

Just waiting for a reply.

Depends if there selling though I guess with regards to asking prices.

If a new standard facelift can be bought for under £25k, £22k seems like a lot for an 07 (2 years old now) despite the spec.

I don't think that is S3 LTNs PLUS the seller can't count "18" PARALLEL 5-SPOKE ALLOY WHEELS" I'm sure they are 7 spoke ;)
Always makes me question the legitmacy when they can't even get the ad right!

I know, thought that was a bit odd.

Should be interesting to see what it makes at the end to see what people are willing to pay for a high spec 07.

Doubt I'd be able to sort myself out quick enough to bid though.

I wouldnt buy a car like this from ebay in a million years.
It smacks of desperation to me.

Am I just out of touch or are other the same here?

cheers
Paul

Agreed . My point wasn't clear. I should have put the range of prices separately. IMO 18k to 21.5k is about right.

As for fleabay: For me, S3 (et al) are niche motors and I buy from where I hope other enthusiasts sell, i.e. PH, Top Marques...not bad for printer cartridges though:whistle2:

Condition, warranty, value for money and service history are the only things that matter to me.

Not too bothered if the previous owner was an enthusiast or if it comes from a dealer on a 2 year old car.

Maybe if I was into exotic supercars I would look at it differently, but if I stick with the first four points I made I don't think i'll go far wrong hopefully.

What else do you guys look out for?

Mine may be up for sale shortly, looking out for an RS4 Avant, not having much luck at the moment, some peoples version of ''mint'' is not the same as mine. My car really is ''mint'' not a mark on it, 18k,one sensible owner and no mods, as it came out of the box. No paintwork bumps or scratches Realisticly I would be looking for 18.5k - 19k,do not see you getting a really nice one for any less, Audi have offered me 18.5k part ex.

Well let me know how your RS4 hunt goes.
Looks like something I would consider. Which options did you specify?

Thanks

That was my point. I didnt mean someone in an anorak who only drives it in the dry.

*That one is open to interpretation though.

GRL -

You are onto a winner here. I wish that I had thought to do this prior to buying.

That's two decent motors at nice prices; Mark's car sounds sweet. Just watch though, he might be an enthusiast.:whistle2:

He better not be. :slapped: :)

Just thought it would be a good idea as a lot of people on here have had part exchange valuations from dealers so they are more realistic about what they expect for them.

Shame no Ibis ones have come up though.

Only advice is , if you think you may want the bucket seats in future , then hold out for a car with them in , as to retro fit them will cost 4k.

I must admit that has been playing on my mind about the Recaros.
It makes the car so much more desirable I think. But as they say beggers can't be choosers.

My loaner from Audi is Ibis (or white anyway) and it is great for clearing traffic, especially with DRL on.

I had a 330 - who was bullying traffic on the A1 - move over for me earlier. Needless to say, when he read 1.9TDI and noticed it wasn't 'five o', he rallied it past again...****.:sob:

Can't wait 'till mine is all better.:gun2:
