Ive been in the market for a new set of rims for a few months now, two tyres are nearly on the limit and I havent managed to find a set of new rims yet

Ideally id like some MTM bimoto's but cant find them anywhere. Currently I have 18 inch OEM rs6. I also have another set of OEM rs6 of an A4 in the shed (save me fitting spacers as offset is 43) and was gona have these refurbed in anthracite.

Quite fancy 19's but can find any at the right price. I have also considered rs4 reps in hyper black.

The rs4 wheels in the pic are 19 whereas the rs6 are 18

Heres the rs4 and put along side on a stand at wheelbase and i photoshoped the fronts anthracite.

does this mean if offset is 45 A4 18s will fit an A3.

sorry to hi-jack.

shame about bimotos, i would have chosen them too.

A4 18s are the best to get, thats why I bought another set a few months back, as its like fitting 10mm spacers.

A4 OEM offset is 43
A3 OEM offset is 54
99.999% of replicas people buy are 45ish offset

some guy is trying to sell me 43 offset is these ok?

your a gent, thanks.

sorry about the hijack again.

Good luck

just to answer your question, I like the rs4s you have in top pic go nice with your colour car.

Mate - the 19" RS4 look the dogs!

I have the 18s but was thinking of getting 19s - I dont even think they're that common (in 18s or 19s)

I was also thinking rivieras, project kahn rsc2 with the centre black or bbs lm with the centre chrome-black or bbs ck but they're hard to find!

Am torn but the RS4 definitly look teh dogs - make sure you get good quality reps as the cheapo ones buckle very easily.

I was thinking genuines but they're offset 29 so trying to find someone to skim them so i can lower the offset to 35 to 39 and stretch the tyres a bit.

A set went for £430 in need of a refurb on the bay so thats prob your ebst bet - look to be good quality too

hi matt are you saying a4 wheels fit an a3 but are just wider ??? and to the wheels id go with 19s and drop her on coils

I'd go for the 19"s too, but you'd need to drop the car a bit otherwise they never look quite right.

Here's my car on the RS4 style wheel

Are yours OEM Jamie or are they replicas

The ones im looking at are from wheelbase in oldham 799 fitted with toyo tyres (they are not multifitment, just unsure on the quality of the wheel)

They are Italian reps mate - maybe drop wheelbase a note asking where they source their rep's from?

I do like the RS4 but because the A3 has an offset of ET54 it loses the dished centre.

This ones an original RS4, I love the dished centre and the curved spokes. OEM A3 RS4's (I have them on mine) and replicas don't look as good.

Yeah I'd agree with that, its the dish that does it for me also.

I didnt realise that was the case. Never really looked that closely in the flesh and didnt put two and two together and realise it was the offset.

I just thought it was the quality of the copies. Similar to the previous RS4 style wheels.

I had the older style on my (8L) S3 (original audi) and they looked a lot better than the reps, as they retained the dish in the spokes.

These are probably the best reps i've seen - VMR V708.
ET48 19x8.5 - would these rub?

I know what you're saying.
Here's a few more of mine - I think the dish of the spoke is OK

The dish is related to the offset, I think the 8L S3 is ET38 which is enough to get a good curve on the spokes. I'd love a set of the 19's pictured above but I won't buy replicas!

Blimey those dark chrome ones are awesome and no i don think they would rub, not on standard sus anyway!

Those polished black 19" RS4's are sick. Sem, any idea how much they retail for?

MTM's weigh a tonne though - wouldn't spend my money on em!
You'd want light weight for that sort of money IMHO

i had a trip up to wheelbase today matt did you see the rs4s old style with antherite trim they looked the dogs id defo get them but they was only 18s

Not the best photoshoppin but what do you think to either the BBS CH or CK or rs6 anthracite

CH in silver

CH silver looks good overall, but given the rs6's are blue :fart: I cant really say, I would hazard a guess if the rs6's were in a proper colour they'd win for me, still best wheels for the 8P IMHO

I don't like NHN he's clever, straight to the point and really funny, a credit to this forum but yet I hate him? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I think my opinion needs to evapor8

I only suggest MTM's as thats what he really wanted before but didn't want to pay the dosh.

Damn you pick up on everything don't you, he doesn't want lightweight wheels he wants nice looking wheels, we don't drive super fast S3's like you lot, we drive around in tractors LOL
