Time to leave the B6 Forum

Well, I have sold by B6 A4 avant and bought a S6. I had been wanting one for a while and I actually knew the owner so we sort of did a swap / part exchange.

well here was the old Avant

Heres the new motor. 2000 goodwood green S6.

Only mods so far are - K&N panel filter (I had this lying in the shed) and white side & fog lights.

Let me know what you think. It's doing about 18.5mpg commuting to and from work, its a bit of a change from my 1.9 Tdi A4 avant, but the sound is worth it.

I never realised just how Mint your avant was, looks immaculate!
Hard to believe we have, well, Had the same colour, yours looked so glossy, deep shine.
...or is it that my Camera is *****!!

tiptronic is good, its not that slow to change gear, but it doesn't matter as the 340bhp makes up for any lag.. those pics of the avant were taken after I put a coat of Duragloss TPP 105 sealant on it, its really good stuff and brings the darker colours up really well.

Yeah, she didn't look too bad for having 104k on her. here is a link to the duragloss stuff. The kit is well worth it. When the TPP is used over the bonding agent it lasts for 6 months, you then use the Aquawax weekly yo keep it topped up and shiny..

Ah there she goes, hello all, that was my S6 and that is now my A4, tax and registration tax in Ireland forced a smaller engined car, but it was great to have a V8 in my life if only for a short while....

Cheers Lads, the A6 forum is a bit dead. I have been on RS246.com, it's dead too. I wish I could afford a Milltek, think new wheels will be first on the list to change.. maybe some 18" Avus wheels like my old avant..

Was the S6 advertised on classiccarsforsale.co.uk recently? Had low mileage, immaculate, parked on a sloped driveway in pic?

If so I admired it for ages and really wanted it, if it wasnt that car, yours is identical and looks so good, am very jealous!!!
