My S3 - Please take a look!

Hey guys well thought its about time i put some pictures up of my S3. Had it just over a month now. Its pretty much standard. Bought it with FSH, all the keys, endless amount of reciepts, 63k on the clock. body work is in great condition with no dints or scratches anywhere. just a few stone chips let it down! So very happy with my purchase!

Its a pre-facelift but im currently in the process of giving it some facelift styling. I've started easy, just changed the badges but currently got some facelift tail lights on order then the next step is the headlights. Any other styling parts that ya know of please mention them in your replies :)

Looks nice why bother upgrading the lights looks fine :)
 
Just gives me something to do with the car, plus i like the look of the facelift ones too. Finding it hard to get the headlights tho!
 
both lovely cars Tom.... i changed the rears on my old 1.8T, definately needs doing, personally I would look to change that and the piece that holds the boot lights above the number plate...... head lights - bit unsure if these will go straight on the pre facelift?

Thanks mate. i've tried lookin for the piece above the rear number plate but cant find them anywhere. not tried the stealers but they're my last resort lol!

about the headlights.....the facelift ones dont fit straight in, been looking at the threads on here and looks as tho the wing need modifying slightly. doesn't look a big job but like i said in my previous post...it gives me something to do with the car :)

cuz of the escort i just love changing things, subtle things - i couldnt just buy an S3 and do nothing with it lol!

know exactly what you mean fella, also look to do the LCR splitter, LED's in rear number plate holder and black grills...all look great especially with yellow S3!

Hi Tom, I've seen you around, think it was on St Walburghas.

I used to have a black S3 with anthracite wheels, now got a red LCR with Anthracite Compomotive MO's and my old S3 private plate, give us a flash if you see me :)

Can't remember mate, I just remember seeing you as there aren't many S3's round here!

Did you buy it from a guy in Cleveleys?
 
i have got the audi-sport.net sticker in the rear window, cant really see it in any of the pics i've posted tho
 
a remap at some point. not sure what kind tho yet, still looking into all that kind of stuff. dont really know much about audi's, always been ford, so with the help of this site and other peoples knowledge i sould build up a bit of know-how of my own and do more mechanical stuff a bit later on down the line:racer::beerchug:

I had REVO on my S3, it was great but very aggressive in terms of power delivery. Loved the fast torque build up but the clutch didn't and lasted about a week before it started slipping badly.

I would probably recommend a CC (Custom Code) map or an APR map (from Awesome), these are a lot smoother and a bit more component friendly...

I've had all three of those maps on various cars...

Car looks great! Must say if i ever went to get an 8L s3 would have it in your colour or black. Yellow one of the best colours i think. Looks like you picked up a good car.
Looks really good in the photos. Any mods in mind? besides back and front lights

Thanks bud - It is a nice car, its straight as an arrow! im just guna concentrate on styling mods for the time been, get rid of the aeriel mast next probably and neaten that up a bit with a bee sting aeriel. once i'm happy with the outside i'll start to concentrate on the mechanical side of things :arco:

Liking the RS, S3 aint to shabby either not to sure the yellow interior buts looks nice mate
 
Lovely car there. Looks clean. I'm sure you'll love your S3 like we all do here, even if they aren't as fast as a VXR. lol :)

I may be wrong but by the look of your side repeaters they look to be facelift ones (larger and not square), so maybe its facelift wings?
 
absolutly lovley car matey, i remember seeing this up for sale, and wanted it so much, you beat me to it!! haha, quality purchase! Happy Driving :racer:
 
didn't even realise that to be honest. never knew the side repeaters where even different lol

Cheers for the info. Learn something new every day, i just presumed A3/S3 would be the same indicator lenses for the years...

nope no sunglasses i'm afraid but it stands out, its what i wanted so job done there!

it would pain me to have to part with the RS. still the time mite come at some point tho but not if i can help it!

love your RS, really nice example.

as for gettin the S3 remapped i'd sooner save that sort of thing for the Escort really. Need one reliable car at least haha!

Nice motor ! i love the Yellow S3, but i wasn't brave enough and went for black instead :keule:
 
Lovely motor that matey!!...I used too have an a3 and I changed the back wiper to an aero one off (IIRC) a Mk 6 polo.
The standard a3/s3 one is an awefull looking thing IMHO.
The mk 5 golf one is also the same and really smartens the rear end up.
Cost about £25 off ebay which some may say is a bit steep, but I thought it was worth every penny!
