Anyone see these or tried on of these? Room inside for our own transponder as well.

Yes, I've fitted that, room for transponder as well.

The customer who's car I've fitted it to has a '97 TDI 110, so still has the old-style key. I've just ordered a later lock set, so the 2 spare blades supplied can be used.
Front doors are being replaced with late ones in the summer.

i bought the same kit for ours from their website

www.rclick.co.uk iirc

It comes with a choice of blades, so if your car has the older style locks then you can get those supplied with the kit. They also do blades for many other brands of car.

Oddly, our '96 car had the later HAA key blades anyway. So its a bit odd a 1997 car had the older HA key.

It looks good and the room for a transponder is great as i could take that from my current key and just use these.

Will this still make the alarm live when the car is locked?

sweet cheers, think ill order one of them. what quality are the fobs?

i bought one and fitted it, the transponder wont work out of your key,
i had to forget the key thing and buy another model locking kit from the same brand.
now i just have a small fob made by right click and the original key.
if you get it to work let me know, i cut my transponder out of my key with a dremel and it still worked with the original key but ever time i put it into the flip key it wouldn't work.
i think the black circle thing (A) in the shaft of the original key is some kind of antenna for the transponder.
i think you need both A and B in the picture

I have a spare blade of that type as i just popped the plastic bit out as far as i can tell its just plastic.

I have purchased the kit and will have a play with it as soon as it arrives and let you know.

also the key i have chopped my transponder out of don't work anymore, even with the transponder in it...
Make sure you have a spare.

I dont yet but taking the transponder out of the key will that really break it?

it shouldnt, but the are a little fragile.

Its a glass bead with a passive RFID tag inside.

Not sure why gruf's didnt work, i've never tried it with ours yet, as ive never bothered getting the blades cut and just use the rightclick key as a remote fob, because all you should have to do is carefully cut the immo capsule out of the key and move it into the rclick key.

Im gonna give it a go and see what happens im going to order another key anyway for safe measure as i only have the one.

That's a good idea.

I have a spare key i was going to try it with, i've just been really lazy and not bothered trying to get the blades cut after the first place i tried said they couldnt do it.

Might have to get my finger out and give it a bash.

I know a place 10 min from me that can cut them. Try your local stealer they will be able to cut them just depends how much they want to charge you for the job.

aye might try the local dealer actually.

I tried a key place in the local shopping centre, they initially said yep ok, then couldnt get the blades from the rclick kit to clamp down in their milling machine thingy so couldnt do it.

i got my right click cut £12,
you have to go to a master locksmith.

i've emailed a company on ebay thats selling audi blades for 7quid pre-cut to your car, see if he will cut the right click blades for me.

What exactly is a master locksmith?

A master locksmith is a proper locksmith, one that don't say i cant cut that or i cant fix that lock,
when you go into a master locksmith shop you will see about 20 different key cutting machines some of them will have computers that do the cutting..oh yer he wont polish your shoes or put new heals on them.

My right click system arrived this morning and i think the quality is very good for something so cheap.
Does anyone have any quick pointers for wireing it in? I don't think the instructions are great esp for someone like me who is a novice at electrical stuff in cars.

I think i have some idea now to get this working not 100% though but ill post up what i can so others can use it.
