I totally understand you mate but it was 3am in the morning and my mate (my passenger) knew the driver...

If a car was coming the opposite way, i wouldnt have floored it but let him get past but it was a clear, straight, dry road. The guy was 40 something years old so im sure he wouldnt have overtook me if there was a car coming! He is a very experianced driver himself as i seen him at our local strip a few times!

I undertand your point and thank you but if you were ever to meet me in person, you would realise i am an extremely safe driver and under no circumstance would i ever put anyones life in danger :D It was safe and clear to do what i did :D Even though i shouldn't have... :S

And in saying what i said in the ST3 post, i very rarely drive like that! I was sharing my experiances of my ST3 in the best way poss! Im sure Lee can vouch for the safeness of my driving as he was out with me last night :D

I hope i haven't said anything to offend you but if if a prob still exists, feel free to PM me and im sure we can sort it out mate without cluttering up Lex's thread :D

Hi - If you can get 5 more before the 28/02/09 then I will take a ST3 for £299.

Only say before the 28th as have it booked for remap then - but if you can get this going would prefer the ST3 option.

I rang them to ask about if audi can tell its had the map on and they haven't rung me back.

Just had my whole current account wiped out by fraud! So provisionally i'm in but its gonna take at least 5 days to give me my own money back even though i can prove it wasn't me! Damn banks make interest at any and i mean any oportunity!!!! Mind you I am glad to get the money back!

that bad news there man.

however i've just this second rang jason at chipped uk and he can conform that there is no way that audi dealerships can find the remap once the original map had been loaded up.

if you would like your name down for one just give me a shout.

and again sorry to hear you've been robbed, my dad got his credit card stolen and the person who stole it walked into the bank and manage to take out over £4000 without showing any id what so ever, whats this world come to aye?

i dont really understand chipped uk's pricing

the price on the website is now £346.96 down from £525

however £299 is still better

i suppose theres such a large mark up on these units because they actually cost chipped-uk very little
 
it would be nice but when he gave me that price he said thats the least he could go to
unless me try for 20 people but that would take forever
 
Yeah put me down for one please! but surely in todays current market climate maybe they will just do them for £299 now regardless of numbers bought if you mention the audi-sport offer that means maybe we could get them now!!!:racer:

Lex Lad - regardless of how many numbers you have, if you set a final date (I'd do 20th) and just go to Chipped Uk - Im sure they should do you the ST3 for £300.

You got a fair few guys and dont see why they wont.

When my delivery was delayed by a week, they give me a free eco remap!

I will have one m8 now thats been cleared up just need a few days to get the funds cause of some robbing ********! And they won't give you the address of where they wanted it to go!

Does anyone know if the ST-3 resets the flash counter every time you remap it? I'm pretty sure the Revo and Bluefin boxes do?

Just a quick question - i understood the St3 could hold 3 maps which would be 2 performance maps + the std map from you car but you say -

" With the ST3, yu get the best of 3 worlds. Eco (which i doubt I'lll ever use :D) fast road for every dat and race for when im feeling enthusiatic!"

Have you decided to delete the standard map or bought an extra one or got 3 + std ?

i kno im not kaz but i'll answer anyway haha

his st-3 unit got stuck in the christmas post so chipped uk gave him the option of the 3rd map free to apologise, i think.

so you have to choose 2 of the 3 available maps plus your standard.

they might offer you the 3rd map to replace your standard but that would be abit of a silly thing for when you come to sell the car.

i've heard the race map is so loaded with torque it will eventually shread your clutch if continuously on it, im just going for the eco and fast road.
 
i am calling chipped uk first thing tomorrow and hoping i get the answers im looking for, if i do you can put me down for one, but i will confirm tomorrow morning just so there is no confusion
 
Ah makes sense ..I do remember reading that in a thread somewhere (probably this one)....so it has capacity to store three maps total then :) Getting excited now ...

Re choice of maps I am pretty sure will be going for same maps - Eco and Fast Road ....A4 130 Avant has 103k on it and mileage is all or nothin with either very little mileage or 200miles a day ...think eco will provide me with my daily driving and the fast road for a "treat" every now and again.

Would love to hear from anyone with experience of the ST3 on the 1.9 130.

Thats pretty much spot on.

It was delayed as the courier stamped over my address or something :S

I have all 3 maps (eco, fast and race) on the unit and have all four maps on my PC.

If i want to put it back to standard, i have to delete a map and put stock on the st3 thern load it onto the car.

But no maps ever get deleted as their on my comp!

Race is jsut for when im feeling enthusiatic - it stays on fast road 99% of the time and not bothered using eco lol

But found out the touqe gain on fast road is average of 90 nm on fast road and 110 nm on race. So more touqe :D

I have a dsg and it can handle a lot more than a standard clutch - A member on here is putting 340ft lbs of touqe through his so its not really a prob to handle the race map.

And also, with all cars, if you avoid flooring it in first gear, the strain on the involved components will be reduced!
