Hi guys,

finally purchased my A3 the other day, and am now the proud owner of a 2004 2.0TDi sport

Excellent condition, runs sweet as a nut and the interior is like new! Came with nokia bluetooth system as well :)

Here are a few pics:

And then today, with a little help from a friend, i got round to fitting my TT-S steering wheel :D Love it!

Any idea how i get the airbag light to go off? And if there are any ways to get the controls to work?

Cheers

Jordan

looks much better i think you need someone with vagcom to reprogram ask nhn hes clued up on this sort of stuff .... maybe look for a thread on it there will be one somewhere just go through till you find it looks wey better than that other wheel maybe you could get an sline badge on it if you goin with the sline theme that is heres a link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-S-line-S...14&_trkparms=72:1683|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

the badge was the next thing to be changed :) you read my mind!

i thought a vagcom would be involved somewhere

nice wheel mate :) how much did you pay for that?

airbag and wheel was only £300

Nice car mate, and lovin' the wheel

Where did you pick that up from mate for £300, i'm looking out for one!

Car looks good and wheel is awesome, the plus side of that person writing off their TTS! :haha:

I think becuase you took the old airbag off, it regeistered as no airbag hence the airbag light.

If you reset the fault code - you should be ok.

You can do this with vagcom or you leave the battery off for 30mines but you will loose lots of other settings in the car.

Id personally get somenone with vagcom to check the dtcs and then if the fault code doesnt reset, you could find out what the prob is....

Nice look car mate and wheel looks sweet.

Any other mods planned ??

Me and you in competition then :p May the best stealth A3 win!

I have most of my mods - they're just in my bedroom and need painting/fitting/bolting on etc. and current insurers are knobs and wont let me declare anything!! So have to wait til March as then i have 2 years driving experiance..

Summer cant come quick enough :p

ive already paid for my "mods" even though they havent been fitted :) so i can mod away without worrying about insurers :superman:

Reason for airbag light & the controls non working is because you need to install an updated steering wheel control module & slip ring, VCDS needed, slap down £228.75 & you could have VCDS on the group buy list

But still you need those 2 parts aswell as coding, fancy an rns-e upgrade aswell with newer style buttons & alum dials?

Damn your only in surrey so not to far from me, so many options, lol

You PM me & I will add you to list mate, also PM me with email address as I have RNS-E & I'm still trying to locate a wheel for you, but someone got one for £300 lately so just wondering if we can source one for you or if would be cheaper for you to buy it directly of ebay sellers, PM me anyway your ideas.

Thanks.
