I don't get some of the pi$$ taking in here!
I must be getting old, but don't know what's so funny!
So he's in a position to do stuff with his car, even taking weight out, which for the record is a sensible way to improve performance.
To put that in to context - Jonny's GTi Ed30 with 360bhp was running against Big Andy's 440bhp S3 at Santa Pod the other week.
Both doing late 12's for the 1/4 with the S3 crossing the line at 112mph and the GTi Ed30 crossing the line at 119mph...... Jonny has stripped a load of weight our of his car, including the rear seats and it has made a massive difference.
So what's so funny about Alex taking weight out fo his car? I'm quite interested to see where it gets too.

Hey if you read my quotes it does say its his car & up to him, but come on why would you at time of selling car then do all that
Johnny wasnt selling until he finished the car, big difference & wonder if he's finished his G5 now, Johnny obviously gets bored after projects as do I so needs something else to work on, but I wouldnt personally advertise a car for sale some 3 months ago & then now remove parts & replace with fairly expensive ones now, do you see our point?
Its more curiosity than anything else, are we allowed to ask why he's doing this or is this subject to scrutiny aswell?

Just not sure where all the taunting has come from and, TBH, don't think its fair.

I think Alex has a car dealership and he's not exactly priced it to sell quickly has he.... he did exactly the same with his last S3 and got what he paid for it I think.
So having it up for sale at that price will only catch the eye of someone who really wants that car... if someone is prepared to pay for it who's laughing then????
Everything he's done can be easily reversed so I don't see the problem!

I'm referring to spending £32k on a car, £10k on tuning then sell it 6 months later for £25k Jamie. I'm gonna keep my car for 3/4 years. So no Jamie, nothing like me pal! Sorry thats just my opinion, I'm not referring to Alex, he can do what he likes his car, let him carry on, he isn't hurting anyone!

No harm, alex is enjoy doing what he doing to his car and it is his car so he can do what he wants. I can see where some people are coming from getting certain stuff for the car like bucket seats and then stripping in the car and selling them. But alex might not of thought about stripping the car when he placed his order. And now he has it, has a few ideas think his car running over 360bhp+ and gonna be lighter.
And nigel just nigel lol likes having a good laugh like most of us do? Just winding each other up. Its nothing personnal

Tbh ashely . It does get to me . I had a build thread of my car on this site which i ended up deleating due to constant **** take from staz and NHN ..
Ive never stripped any of my cars before , so wasnt planning on doing it when i spec'd the car , But i would have still wanted bucketseats . And im not going to lose money on the recaros other wise i wouldnt bother. I may have them sold for 1900 to a guy in the states . Were just costing up shipping .
Nigel is certainly taking the **** aswell as staz .
I only offerd to sell my buckets seats as some of you seemed intrested in getting a set .
I'm not sure who you're using as your example, but what you're saying is no different!
Just cause someone can afford to move their car sooner after spending money on modding it makes no difference really.
You've still spent at least £2k-£3k on your car - whether you sell it now or in 3 years, it's still additional money thrown away on your car.
