BUCKET SEATS

Interested in retro fitting some bucket seats i've seen and in my a3. If i took it to a garage would it just be to unscrew my old seats and screw the new seats in? Seen some nice B7 RS4 BUCKET SEATS, do any of you know any good places to buy bucket seats? Thanks

Not sure if the B7 RS4 seats will fit, if they do not come out of a Cabriolet they will not have the tilt facility for rear seat access.

Get some out of an R32 or S3 3dr

They should screw staright in.

Thanks for that mark. I dont think they do come out of the cabriolet.

You can only order through the dealer network though and they are mega expensive!

How about an alternative Recaro one:

I bet they are way cheaper than going through the Audi dealer network!

Seen a few sets go through ebay (out of S3's) they seem to go for £1500ish.

Look lovely imo. although i can imagine people who don't like cars asking WHY!!

The guy who i got my brakes from had 2 sets there for £2k for the full interior in bradford...

I have viewed a few cars in that part of the world over the years and they have all been dodgy, damaged, stolen etc so it comes as no surprise.

Bradford? There seems a lot of S3 parts from Manchester too. Might be a few more legit ones with this weather!

It just seems very coincidental a guy has 2 sets of buckets, S3 brakes etc at the same time the S3's are going missing, could be genuine reason for having, but I'm no idiot, most likely hooky

he owns a garage and he repairs many cars and he also has loads he breaks for parts - he had a burnt out RS4 Cab, A4 Convertible, R32 which had gone into a lampost sideways with 7k (the one i got my brakes from) and quite a few other cars...

Bradford is car crime central but there are a few genuine people from there...

I think I'd rather let someone buy my options than let a stealer offer me pittance for them. Do you think it would be worth your while to sit both cars side by side and swap over buckets, RNSE, FBMFSW, heated rear seats etc and get a couple of grand for them than trade it in as is?

Don't get excited folks, I don't wish to trade in for another 10 months!

Will be interesting to see how much more the stealer will offer for a well spec'd one as opposed to a standard one. I could always lend someone my buckets n get the new one without and swap them back, that way someone gets a new set of standard seats out of it lol. Question is would you give my buckets back?!! ha
