I got myself one as everyone else has one:blow: just wondered what is the point of a dump valve. To be honest the one i have dont dump just makes a little woosh noise in the glove box :)

I think the reason most people buy a diverter valve on here is that the Bosch OEM often breaks as the quality isnt the best. In terms of noise youll never get a loud whooshing noise unless its broken! Best thing you can do for the noise is fit a Forge Split-R and an aftermarket panel filter.

whats a split r

The same as a Forge 007p Diverter except you can adjust the amount of air thats recirculated and how much gets dumped out.

i thought VAG cars didnt like dump valves much...

If i was going to get one that was simple to fit, and made abit more noice could anyone recomend one??

so do these actually work without causing any issues on all 1.8T engines?

Have had one on mine for a few months with no problems so far, as long as its adjusted properly it should work fine.

are they easy to set up and how loud are they?

According to your sig you already have a 007P? I had one of them on my old 1.8T Quattro and the difference in noise between the two isnt that great, so if its just noise youre after, I wouldnt bother forking out the extra pennies.
