At last I got an S3

Hey Guys

Some of you know and have helped me look for an S3 and woweeee it took some time but i thought that i would show you what i purchased just over a week ago. this is her after her first proper wash, polish and winter seal!!

I cannot explain how much i love this motor!!i will probably never sell it unless something serious happens cant see what else would compare!

Really glad i waited for the 'perfect' one as it has everything and the last two owners were extremely merticulous in looking after her.

anyways enough of that waffle here's a pic, ill get some more up soon

Sweet! Parking sensors to? I got those, a very handy extra! What else does it have? See you have chrome mirrors to, always a bonus! (£400 a set for genuine ones at Audi!)

well on what it has its got full mint condition black leather the rs4 wheels parking sensors 66k on the clock all the interior lights and stuff climate control full Bose system which rocks plus cd changer everything interior wise is black! what should i be looking for or have i just stated a standard S3 lol oh and a personal plate which is kinda relevant to me !!!:)

to say im happy is the understatement of the year

The last two owners really cared for it as in heated carpeted garage!! and i plan to do the same just without the heating and carpet lol!!

spent loads on cleaning products and will just improve the car if i can in anyway possible???

Got only one niggle with it and thats the boot keeps bleeping here and there but think thats the alarm batteries ??? maplin fix i believe???

Yep. It's a bit of a fiddly fix, but I managed it in ~1 hour including stripping the boot. Better do it sooner rather than later, or the batteries could leak and then it's £80 for a new siren.

ok mate i'll get those batteries ordered today or summin!!! could anyone quickly post up the exact ones i need? if not i'll just dig the post up!

actually mate its metalic black but that pic kinda makes it look blue for some wierd reason!!

The car is an X reg so guessing that could account for the mix of parts?? not sure when the facelift occured or it could have been the previous owner changed some parts! whatever it ticks all my boxes lol

The car is a pre-facelift. the headlights are the obvious giveaway. Nice model though.. You do however, need to get some metal polish on those exhaust tips :)

And a wee arial. Look abit more modern with a civic type r arial.
 
cheers for the comments guys really means alot! yer i was very lucky finding such a clean one and with a bit of a detail the other day she came up lovely :)

lol yer i defo need some metal polish on that i tried some old stuff me dad had but that was cack lol

i'll get some of the interior at the weekend after i've cleaned and nourished the leather, not that it really needs doing but i wana make sure everything is perfect so whatever lol

im located in the south near Gatwick

oh and the parking sensors were factory issue

those mirrors... aren't normal S3 chrome/aluminium ones.... or something has gone wrong in the finish. Are they plastic?

The facelift happened halfway through X reg Matt, although I don't think there was any mixing of parts... your previous owners just decided to upgrade the rear lights!

They look like brushed aluminium as aposed to polished.
 
1animal1 pointed out that I had fake mirrors when we met a week or so ago. Mine are the chrome, shiney type. (they were the first thing he noticed, they were that shiney!) His on the otherhand, were the dulled brushed alu ones. Can someone confirm which are indeed the 'real' deal?

I also have polished alu mirrors. All the S3's Ive seen with alu mirrors were polished. The level of the polished look varies though but I think thats down to the condition. I do tend to use the autosol on mine every now and then.

Hey dude yer i'll find out for you it has a private plate on it so i dont actually know what it was unless i look at the V5 so ill dig it out!

yer i recon yours must have been one of the first produced if its jan 2001 mate, thats pretty cool!!!

the wing mirrors are more of a brushed colour if im honest! i would lke to get some spares do them black to colout code them abit but im not too fused at the mo!

what makes you say that dude??

did the interior at the weeknd i'll get some snaps up took four and abit hours doing the leather but it looks amazing and i recon ill nourish it maybe once every two weeks till im happy so it stays perfect forever lol real hard work but i think it was worth it!! liquid leather is the ****** i would recommend that to everyone!!!
