Ok then here goes.......

It's still at The Phirm!

Been down today to "help" and see where Tim has got to on the build, man these "bolt" on kits need some work!!! lol

It's all back together, well almost, Tim is customising the exhaust as I type The wastegate may need a tweak, the DV needs to go back on, then Tim will run it for 50 miles or so, then back on the ramp check it all works and bolts are tight etc, then I get it back AND.............................




It goes to revo!

Who no doubt will do an excellent programme then I get it back AND........

It goes to RWYB at Santa Pod!!
So come see it run it’s gonna be fast!

Was ready a Golf mag yesterdy which had an excellent feature on 20TFSi tuning.

Seems that all of the tuners have ackowledged this is a superbly strong engine for tuning and even better than the previously favoured 18T before it.

There were quotes fropm various tuners with different ideas on tuning this engine, and one from VF engineering that there were already UK based S3s with around 417Bhp (Jonny C ???)

Seemingly the S3 is a perfect donor for the 200ps car with cars seeing 300bhp with S3 IC, Turbo etc.

Had promised I would stick to a remap and go no further, Andy- you are not helping.

Good luck with the build, watching eagerly for the figures.

Yeah that was my S3, cool.. The first Mag mention for my S3 that I know of :)
 
Spoke to Tim at The Phirm today, he has almost finished the beast, just customizing a few parts, the gear linkage is a bit close to the new down pipe etc

Also PVW are going to do a feature on The Phirms build of my S3, so if I miss anything Tim will fill in the gaps in that!

Tim has tweaked the exhaust a bit, run the DV to a new place I cant wait to see the finished job, not long now!!!

Man I still have 2 hours to wait!!

Tim had to bore out/change my Evoms intake as it steps down to 2.5" and we need 3" for this turbo, also he has made a few more parts for it, not sure what but it needed them, he has taken over 50 pictures of the build so I will post a link to my page once done!

We are actually putting a big turbo kit on to an Audi S3 2.0TFSI within the next 1-2months although the customer is in talks of 600bhp :O totally mental!

I think a nice 450-500bhp will do the job :)

Beware its not as easy as it looks, Tim has put about 200 hours into this car but the man is an absolute perfectionist and the best car builder I have ever met!

Plus he loves doing it!!

The car should go 500bhp + will you do the rods? if so who you getting them from???
 
We are changing pistons and rods :) as well as many other parts!

Don't worry we are the same, we will be building our very own kit for this one so no doubt we will spend hours and hours making it perfect! There is only one way of doing it!

Good to hear the man has got a passion for these things; I find it’s a big confidence booster rather than the Joe Bloggs that takes it as another every day job - in and out!

Sounds like a good build so far! Be interesting to see when it's done! :D

Just got off phone to Tim, it'll be back at 7.30 tonight!!

Tim said "The last ten minutes have taken all day" and he still wants to make an oil catch tank as the turbo is putting a bit of oil back in the intake! The man is car crazy !! lol

Tomorrow is drive day will give you a shout then young padawan :blackrs4:

Man what a journey this has been!

The car blew a water pipe last night BEFORE it got to me! so I finally got her back at midday'ish, and what a car this is now, and it still has to go to revo for 2 days for the re-map!!

There is no point me giving any write up now as I want to see what Torque & BHP she pulls first, but I will tease you some more........
