Right then, after a lot of head scratching and changing of mind I've finally decided on the Eibach50/40 Sportline kit! I intend to order it from DPM in the next couple of weeks with a set of 10mm H&R spacers.
I'll be doing the install myself, although it won't be until 19th/20th Feb, but i will be purchasing the spreader from the stealers.

Any thoughts on the install or general feedback on this setup. Just for the record i have a Sportback 1.9TDi sport with oem 20 spoke 18's!

You might find it usefull when you fit the kit

Mustb say though that i am very happy with the eibach damper and spring kit though. Mine is the pro though which only drops 30mm but the ride quality is not hard at all.

Reackon yours will look the muts when done.

Remember piccies :)

If you have Xenons remember to watch out for the level sensors (link arm attached to the wishbones) also make a note of the direction of the rear arm as it can flip back the wrong way when you lower the car back down.

You will also need to file down one of the screws holding the rear arch liners (has been discussed before do a search)

Oh and I'd watch out for the scutle cover if it is cold, as it may be a bit brittle as a result.

Its not a quattro is it as I have a set of Eiback Pro 30mm springs up for grabs boxed as new, was only 4 weeks old I got wrong ones as mines 2wd

& yes its a real bitch to do on own without a lift, lol

lol... i know what you mean!
I've lowered three of my previous cars the worst job being a 2002 Celica. For the rear struts the entire rear interior had to come out... (very time consuming & a faf! especially after i lost half my thumb from the front ones) ...after that i swore i'd never do the job again! :slapped:

I'd have loved to go dampers also but the current budget won't allow. For the drop i was really considering -35mm H&R which would have given a similar stance to Eibach but i figured "in for a penny in for a pound"

Thanks for the tips Paul, i don't have the xenons but will take care with the rest and also tackle that troublesome screw head!
