Anyone with TPMS & vagcom can do me a favour, can you start car up & login to 03 ABS & then measuring blocks & type in 031 & go, whats the 4 boxes opposite the 031 got in them please, 1st 3 should start with a 5 then 3 other numbers, just trying to see why mine are not showing proper readings, just 5000 5000 5000 etc, should have readings in them like 5888

Also whats your coding set for your car in ABS & which car have you got interms of 8P style etc please

Thanks

N

Oh you would ask now I've just put my car to bed!

well its bugging me like mad cause it shouldnt be 5000 x 3 should have read values by now, no wonder I couldnt get a system warning when I let tyre down, might have to try the a4 route afterall

I also set the car to learn my tyre circumference in radio under adaptation think was 02 then set to a 0 to self learn, see if this makes any difference, gonna go drive it see if it does anything

Just hope its not an abs sensor/module fault

Ah ok, well when you get a chance fella I would be extremely grateful for the MB 031 reading, thanks, oh also if you're feeling generous also check 016, 017 & 018, 018 1 should show you when you press the tpms button if thats working ok

Isn't the radio adaptation so the RNSe can work out where you are if can't see any sats, like in a long tunnel?

Nah think its linked to gala but I saw it & thought hey knowing audi these things could be linked, but doubt it but since never done thought why not fella, lol

I'll check for you tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Ok fella thanks, but have a task to add, can you 1st check in 03 MB 031 & do a screen dump onto a jpeg in paint, then come out completely & then reset your tpms by holding button when ignition on until the icon shows & it beeps, then check 03 again in MB031 & it should show now 50000 all the way along, then scrren dump, then if you could maybe after driving a bit so maybe last thing of the day check again in 03 MB 031 & see what it says & screen dump & make a note of your number of miles you've done & at the same time please make notes of whats in 016, 017 & 018 at the varying stages please mate, trying to get an angle on this system & when I've found the module for the a4 I'll update you on that.

I hope its not to much trouble for you fella & much appreciated if its possible.

Thanks.

After a reset
MB16 - same as before Might be mileage when alarm last went off
MB17 - 32000 km Appears to be mileage when last reset
MB18 - same as before
MB31 - 50000 50000 50000

Sorry didn't have time for a drive after I took the logs, it was late when I got in yesterday.

Thanks for all that John, it is much appreciated, I actually am getting new K module on saturday now so update then mate.

So I assume your cars at 32k then given you reset it, can you maybe check after you've done 10 miles or so if the values have changed again, whats funny now is I now have a reading change in the 1st box of 031, 55000 so maybe it does need a load of mileage to set itself huh, 10 miles isnt enough so my run to brighton saturday will change it I reckon, but my warnings also for the last initialisation are weird, mine says 21824 in COUNT under 17 & 16 makes sense as no warnings yet so will be empty, but I dont get 17 at all.

But to add you know the US market actually has sensors in wheels & a control module, still has the button on dash but this must be for the actual TPMS vag module 4C, so its not ABS controlled, I need to chat with some US guys over on vortex to check if its still the same notification in speedo, but I think it will be much improved over the ABS given it will actually have pressure sensors huh fella, interesting for sure

I did have a look into the a4 version & I have found some control modules on the bay so might test it, but one thing intrigues me is maybe linked to convenince system so makes me think wont be compat, but I'm open to look at it as shows in DIS not stupid small lamp huh

I'll check again over the weekend and see what it says...

TMPS may indeed be linked to the convienience system, IIRC there is a check box to tell the car it's installed and thats on my module. It might just work!
Oh and see my other thread regarding OEM parking sensors.

Uh why, sorry what did I miss fella, if you're referring to disabling then think maybe they've missed a page or 2 somewhere as it would be possible but RT havnt maybe updated VCDS to show the system to disable which tbh I'm starting to see a number of issues with VCDS not correspondng to module versions, very annoying.

was referring to the facelift having sensors in the wheels instead of using the ABS to detect it. According the the thread the new system displays the warning in the DIS. Wasn't that what you wanted?

Read my post 14 fella & as per your link american market slick, but can still get parts for here if need be I reckon.
