hello there people, im looking into buying an a3 1.8tfsi s-line black edition in the next week or so, but was wondering before i confirm my order is there any common faults with the engine and parts of this car??

plus im finding it hard whether if i want it in ibis white or phantom black and run a black on black thing, hate having to choose cars such a hard desicion.haha

any help would be amazing cheers people

Cant help with the engine but with colour, thats going to be down to personal preference

The pics just for ref of black vs white.

The stance of a black car is just awesome but white looks cool as its new and not many cars seem to be white on the road. Also, with white, you can see each and every line and curve!

I prefer black and everycar I've owned to know has been black but thats jsut me

With the engine, your buying a new car so i wouldnt worry too much. If anything does buckle, Audi will fix it and give you a courtsey car

PS. Theres a good servicing package id recommend with Audi

Had mine for nearly 12 months now - no problems to report as of yet . Been absolutely faultless.

I'd say black but then I would - looks amazing when waxed.

Its quite a modern engine (new in the last 12 months) dont know anyone who has one at all, i think its only in the A3 and new A4.

But A3's in general have very few issues.

Got my 1.8TSFI S-Line (Black) about 3 month ago and can't fault it in any way, apart from it likes to wheel spin.... (I'm sure it's just my driving) or that's what I found going from a A3 Quattro to front wheel drive.

well after reading a bit more into it, i went to my local audi dealer yesterday (east kent audi) and i have placed my order ive gone for a brand new s-line hatch with the new black edition pack, car in phantom black, went with the 1.8tfsi engine aswell, rear parking sensors, sphymony radio and arm rest phone prep, im so stupidly excited now stroll on early march

have you done any mods, like exhaust system? BOV? coilovers? if so what brands and types?
